  1. Definitely no postage?
  2. maybe is this too expensive?
  3. I am selling my BDDI V1, great condition and working perfectly with zero issues. I am simply not using it, and having a bit of a sort out. Can post it, probs cost about a fiver I would guess. Any questions please just ask. Thanks Chris
  4. My best sound in ages last night was/ Stingray - Korg Pitchblack - Radial JDI then Xlr to FOH and the “thru” output into RCF 732 a for a touch of stage sound. Thought I’d try the JDI instead of BDDI. Worked very well.
  5. This could have gone in the effects forum nut I feel it may actually be related to my choice to not use an amp...so. Infrequent visitor here these days, mainly earning my corn drumming. BUT, I have occasional bass dep work. I am using a Sansamp BDDI with a RFC 732A cab. So, a good cab and a decent preamp. Problem is that I don't like it! To elaborate, onstage the sound is too "big" and "boomy". I know of the limitations of the sans amp - especially since it is the one without the mid control. That said, I know how to use it, and I only put it at about 1/3 blend of the sans amp sound. I think the issue is this - the cab is too good. By this I mean that to get a nice clear punchy stage sound, I have to cut a fair amount of the bass on the sans amp. You know the deal - small stages, boomy etc. However, this of course will also affect the FOH feed, which is not always idea. I wonder if in fact FRFR is actually a good idea for me. The cab is quite large, and I do miss my Mini CMD 121p....rock up, set up, DI set to pre EQ, tweak on stage sound independent of the FOH feed, and tweak that on the desk... So, before I go back to a combo (probably mark bass...again!) could anyone recommend a preamp that is clear and warm? I like the BDDI, but I am finding it to be not the sound I need these days. Cheers Chris
  6. Bass - BDDI - RCF Art 732A BDDI into PA, I only use the RCF for stage sound. If I was the bassist in my main band (I am the drummer) I would just use in-ears and not the RCF Although to be honest I might explore other pre amp options soon. The only reason I haven't so far is that I have been gigging more on drums.
  7. I regret selling mine. I will have a think...
  8. It's is currently on hold pending collection. Yeah, I'm just getting back basically what I paid for it, hope yours goes soon too, fingers crossed.
  9. This is in very excellent condition and as you know these are ace amps. I am moving this on as I have a PA cab now and am going FRFR, otherwise this would be staying. Super condition and in perfect working order. Collection from Nottingham (or meet close ish) preferred, but might be able to post as I have a load of packing - message me and I will get a price. Thanks - any questions please just ask. Chris
  10. Had some interest here and a potential deal but like selling a house there is a "chain". SO as it stands the is available and I need to shift it.... So, grab a "bargain" with an offer? Cheers C
  11. it is, it is pretty much what it owes me though. Surprised it is still here to be fair. A lot better than the Littlemarks in my opinion, irrespective of the power. If it doesn't go I will happily keep it and get a Barefaced to go with it.
  12. Still for sale - will listen to offers, feel free to message me. Thanks again Chris
  13. how is the tweeter on these? Ie, is it nice and bright/articulate, or is it a dark sounding cab?
  14. My cab has sold, so now this needs to go.
  15. Correct. However there is a huge difference between using the instrument input vs the effect return. The instrument input must have another preamp inside, before the main eq you can change, while the effects return is nice and clean.
  16. Well, I have just tried this: tech21 guitar fly rig v2, into both the bass input and the effect loop return obv not at the same time. Used the DI output into my studio desk and monitors, as I don’t have a cab at the moment, but the test remains valid using the DI output of the Marcus Head. I find that the effect return is indeed post EQ but that is fine, sounds flat, when set as such. However, there is clearly some sort of other pre amp shaping immediately after the instrument input on the head, as plugging in here does not sound good for guitar. So I guess this is the input gain stage?
  17. thanks chaps. got to be worth a try I guess. A super midget would be ok for me actually. Food for thought. FRFR for guitar with a pre of my choice, and still a proper bass amp for bass duties.
  18. that's a shame to be fair - they should at least make it switchable. So, it is still for sale.
  19. I have emailed them, will report back
  20. Hi In my FRFR project, for a rig that will do bass and guitar, a thought has occurred: I could use a Barefaced Big Baby2, and my Little Marcus 1000 for both duties, but only if one thing is clear: So does anyone know if the effect return on this head is post preamp and all EQ - ie direct into the Power Amp. If it goes straight to the Power Amp, it would work. Manual is no help. I may email Markbass, but thought I would ask here first. Chris
  21. Thus fine chap came to my house to collect the Markbass cab - seamless transaction, great chap, many thanks.
  22. being collected tonight hopefully mate.
  23. indeed, I'm sure this will go before my Markbass sells.
  24. yes. I believe it is just a "pass through" of the input signal.
