    Hi all, Just thought I'd tell all you basschatters based in or around liverpool that 13 Guitar Co. will be attending this years merseyside guitar show held at aintree race course on the 25th of this month. Well have plenty of basses on our stall including a 36 fret 5 string and a couple of 4 strings. Also a BK loaded strat. So why not come down and check out the show.     I love the Nordstrand big singles. Monster tone out of the basses I've used them on. These are my own basses I have built (one with a Aguilar OB3P and one with a Nordstrand EQ) but They are a quality pup. Weather you'd get the sound your looking for i am not sure, have you had a look at the size of the Nordstrad DC's?

    Hi all, I've got a EA 2x10 cab that has bust speakers. At low volume it works ok but when cranked it gets farty. I'm looking to sell the cab but I have no idea of how much to sell it for? New these are like £800 new. Any ideas? I'm looking to sell the cab to fund a new fEarful build (maybe). Thanks guys-Paul-

    Hi all, Having a little effects clear out. He's whats up for sale. SOLDFirst is this EBS Bass IQ. Quality little pedal this. Get all those funky tones for only £40 + postage [attachment=120562:DSC_0115(1).JPG] Next up is this Boss Limiter Enhancer. Great pedal for adding sustain, or just as a basic limiter. £20 [attachment=120561:DSC_0114.JPG] Another boss product. This is a 80's Boss compressor/limiter half rack mount. Very nice comp. Does very little to your tone unless you really crank the compressor. [attachment=120559:DSC_0118.JPG][attachment=120564:DSC_0116.JPG][attachment=120565:DSC_0117.JPG] Last is this DOD Milk Box bass limiter, compressor. This isn't in greatest condition. The input jack socket is bust and crackly. And there is a lot of noise. On the bright side it sounds great! Has a good EQ with sustain enhancer. Could be a great pedal if you know how to fix the faults. And at £10 you could grab yourself a bargain! Summary; Boss rack comp £40 Boss Limiter/ enhancer £20 EBS Bass IQ £40 DOD Milk Box £10 Pedals will be £5.00 postage. The rack will be £10. Thanks-Paul-

    Im really interested in this, looking for a new cab myself. Only problem is I know nothing about cabs, amps, speakers, crossovers, tweeters etc! I'll have to keep a eye on this thread. It would be really cool to glue a high grade veneer to the sides (if possable). That would look the business!

    £800 for a handmade/ UK made bass head seems reasonable to me. Wouldn't mind a go of one of these myself!

    Thanks for the posts guys, Really like the look of the Jackson Ampworks. Thats exactly the type of thing I'm after. Been loking at this [url="http://www.tecamp.de/en/products/amlification/25-raptor.html#overview"]http://www.tecamp.de/en/products/amlification/25-raptor.html#overview[/url] Pipedream like cause it's about 5000 EUR!!!!!! For the amp and cab. The cab is a monster too, think it's a 1x15, 1x12,2x10 with a tweeter or something crazy. Thanks again guys-paul-

    Wonder if matamp can make guitars? Sure hope not, wouldn't mind swaping a guitar or 2 for a stack. I'll be sure to ask when I go down. Good idea! Thanks man. I've always wondered about the quality of the modern ampegs, seems like they've been living off their past reputation for a while now. In saying that I've never played a top valve ampeg.

    Ampeg. Why didn't I think of that? They have some pretty ampeg stacks I'm pmt in Manchester. Might go down and have a little look. Although, I've heard there made in India or somewhere now and I'd begrudge paying top dollar for a cheaply made product. I'd like to buy UK if possible. And there's the price! I'll have to get one of those proper jobs to afford one :-S One of those soul crushing, mundane jobs rather than making guitars for a living! Oh well. Thanks for the posts fellas. Been a real help.

    Thanks for the reply guys, I was supposed to go to the Matamp factory the other week but was too busy. I'll have to re arrange. I've always tought of Matamp as more of a rock sound. i'm after more of a old school funk. Although, it should be said, I've never heard a Matamp. Well, I'm after something old school sounding but can do somthing a little more hifi too. A guy on here is selling a Markbass valve head which looks up my alley. But again not heard much about them (classic 300). Edit: Im not too fussed about weight. And I'll deffo have a look at the EBS valve head as I loved the old EBS SS combo I had. Thanks again chaps.
