I'm a big fan of the semi acoustic bass. I'm in the middle of designing one now :-) Keep a look out ;-) Any options you guys would like to see on a semi acoustic bass? Let me know.

Could you not get them re-wound by somebody? Bareknuckle may be able to do it.

Starting from the back end of the city centre. Caledonia, Pilgrim, Ye Crack, Grapes (Knight St), Hanahhs Bar (check if theres a band on), Salt Dog Slims (Nice hot dogs), Pouge Mahones, Santos Chupitos, the hidden bar next to Santos Chupito.(Jungle Juice cocktail), The Swan. You can always try Django's Riff and Bar CaVa Although there not really rock bars. Then there's the Krazy House but that's more of a club. Or The Camp And Furnace-Try and catch rockaoke Vs Food Slam, some tasty grub (Piggy Smalls) and karaoke with a live band. Only problem with he Camp is it's a bit out of the way, maybe a 10/15 min walk (if you don't get lost!) to the nearest bars, there are always taxis though.

Not much in Liverpool bass wise, better of in the bass lounge or PMT in Manchester

A good idea though Charic. I did think about a basschat lottery. People could buy tickets until a certain amount was reached, this amount would then go to say a luthier in the affiliates market place who could buy tools and/or materials and give a bass/ product as a prize. It would be like giving to charity or helping to fund small bass related business but you could win a bass etc. This is how people used to fund stuff years ago. Of course I could be missing a massive flaw this idea, but it's just a thought.
