  1. Folks who do, or did a scroll upper horn that I can recall include, Carl Thompson (the original), Hilton, Huff (who went down in flames owing a lot of people money/basses), Eve (don't think they're going anymore), May (still going, but the article probably predates him), and Gnome I think was another one? If the builder was UK based I think it might've been Eve? There's probably loads more out there but brain fade prevents full recall... 😎
  2. OK, that's fair, in the world of bass through, they haven't been innovators for a long time.
  3. I could never deny Fender's enormous importance in the world of electric bass, but "Innovation" is not a word I ever really associate with Fender these days, have the innovated anything in the last few decades?...
  4. That sounds amazing @pete.young. My Monza should arrive next week, which I'm extremely excited about!
  5. I have to say, you can colour me interested in this amp too. It sounds incredible in the BassTheWorld clip, but they usually do when someone as talented as Rene Flächsenhaar plays through it and it's recorded SO well...
  6. Really glad it all turned out well! I prefer this colour too
  7. Probably all small enough to able to take a few... 😎
  8. Man alive, I would kill for this! If by some incredible luck this is still here in a couple of months, I'll have your arm off!
  9. Sounds marvellous @binky_bass
  10. More than a whiff of guitar I reckon...
  11. I should also chime in, I expect a push on the guitar side of things. They've just appointed a new guy who's a guitarist.
  12. I've been trying to convince them to make a smaller ABM still with a real old school power stage for ages. Apparently the main circuit board prevents it being any smaller, but surely the solution would b a redesign?
  13. I have the Legacy 500, I didn't read the specs before buying, but the price was too good to pass up. The power rating was a bit of a surprise, however, I've found that it is way louder than similarly rated amps. I put it up against a well known class D amp rated 500w at 4 ohms through a 4 ohm 4x10, and the GK's 300w at 4 ohms was significantly louder and had way more to give too. GK rate their specs at 1% THD which I believe is about as honest as this stuff gets these days. I expect most class D amps are rated at higher THD meaning that their useful output will be smaller...
  14. Interesting...
  15. Infant Baby Jesus man! That's incredible!
  16. Sounds to me like they're expecting the UK to help artificially keep the domestic US price down. Very good of them... That would certainly be enough to push me to picking up the Sire Z3 instead, only another £49 and a whole lot better value for money. Thanks bit no thanks "Mr Ball".
  17. Thank you matey 😎
  18. I used to follow him on social medias various, mainly to see if he'd manage to really dig himself out of the hole he'd been digging for a long time, only to see he's dug himself a new one! Unfollowed and blocked immediately. He's clearly just a bad guy, and I'm not bringing voting habits into it.
  19. Brilliant design and execution there buddy, congratulations!
  20. Take tomorrow too 😎
  21. These look incredible, but man they are spendy!
  22. Right click on the page, when using Chrome and select translate to English 😎
