  1. Yes, but I expect it's the same power stage as the newish Trace 1200W job. That sounds wonderful and is very very loud. Peavey and now Trace too have never taken the pee with their ratings, even with class D. If it's 1200W it's 1200W.
  2. Yup, the main board covers the entirety of the face of the amp, and they're not keen on a redesign. A real shame, as they are one of the best amps on the market, but it feels like they've been left behind a bit. That said, I'd have another in a heartbeat, and if I ever ended up on bigger stages again, I would absolutely have one.
  3. I'm really happy to see this. I loved Peavey stuff back in the day, even the 90s stuff. I really hope they keep running with this homage effort. They've re released the Decade and there's a handful of new preamp pedals, all with the classic 80s and not so classic 90s styling.
  4. I think it's a "slap ramp" to tighten up the popping part of the equation.
  5. That's a fair point, I'll wind it in a bit. I guess the differentiator here is that both Tech21 and DarkGlass make a lot of the kind of pedals I was talking about, so they will get it right, unlike the rest of them
  6. Sadly just another Class D amp, with an unnecessary Drive circuit. I think I speak for a lot of us bassists in that, if we want drive, we already have pedals that do that for us. I can't ever recall hearing a drive circuit built into an amp even come close to a well considered pedal for the same thing. Why do these guys keep doing this?! Surely it would make more sense to build in a decent compressor, or maybe a blend for the effects loop, something more useful...
  7. Warwick have a new amp range, that looks very interesting. This appears to be the flagship... https://shop.warwick.de/en/amplifier/bass-amps/bass-amp-heads/40799/warwick-ms-800-multi-stage-bass-amp-head-with-usb-interface-800-watt?c=3622
  8. But you found a pic
  9. Here you go! https://www.gallien-krueger.com/rb-legacy It's not very compact, and it's VERY ugly IMHO, however it's a proper proper amp, Class H apparently?
  10. The last round of Sire releases, they soft launched first, and then made some tweaks based on user and industry feedback, before you could order them. They might change the headless hardware to reduce, or maybe even eliminate that overhang, maybe...
  11. I see Seymour Duncan are releasing an amp this year.
  12. Oh, very cool! If they could make a more compact chassis, but keep an old school power stage, that would be marvellous! I have a Legacy, and I actually like it a lot, since getting the right cab for it, but I do yearn for some old school power goodness, although, my back does not. Having grown up playing through the 90s and 00s, I miss the comparatively effortless power that we took for granted back then, from properly powerful old school solid state units, Trace and Peavey in my case. Class D is OK, but what we had before was better, way better actually, just bigger and heavier. Whoever can really crack the proper power stage in a small box puzzle can have my money!
  13. Wasn't the Legacy Range meant to be the RB?
  14. Wow!
  15. That is magnificent! I've well and truly gone way down the custom rabbit hole to be all that interested in a lot of other basses these days, but I will always have a thing for Warwicks, and that is a super fine example, congratulations! (also very much looking forward to seeing this new Shuker of yours when it lands!) Cheers, Eude
  16. That's a real stunner!
  17. I realised I hadn't shared pics of the Salace E Type 4 string which arrived last year. Will need to get an updated family shot sorted!
  18. Lovely shot dude. I wondered where that Cocobolo topped RetroB had ended up. Enjoy them 😎

I would give Newtone Strings a go. They will happily make you a taper wound or even exposed core set to your liking. Their Nickel Hex Core strings are like a slightly more edgy DR SunBeam. They're made in the UK, last ages and are way cheaper than they should be! Lovely bass by the way. I think I had a copy of Guitarist featuring the review too!
  23. I found that you need to really mean it when you engage the expression pedal, press hard on the top of it, and it should work. I was using mine sat down for the first two times I used it and thought mine wasn't working too, standing over it and pressing a little harder made it engage just fine. Hope the above helps!
  24. OK, now that is damn tidy! Congratulations dude!
  25. Thank you buddy! That's a great demo, and the pedal seems to retain a proper low end throughout, something that a lot of filters fall short on. Is it too late to add it to my Xmas List?...
