1. I need to sit down and work it all out, but looking at £6-700. That's including the £92 for pickups that never showed up
2. I'm sure they will, Peter!
3. Excellent review...I don't think my bank will appreciate it though
4. So being a big fan of the mighty Weezer, I decided to build a signature bass of their first bassist, Matt Sharp. I decided on making his backup bass (his main bass was a heavily distressed 60's Jazz body, which is neither easy to find, or cheap). His backup was a Mexican Fender Jazz blue body, Schecter Monstertone pickups and a Warmoth tele bass neck. It looked like this.... So when Fender started making Lake Placid Blue bodies again last year, I thought now is a better time than any to have a go. I searched high and low for the Monstertone pickups. Found some in Sweden, but the guy never replied to me, then by chance, found some over in the states and paid for them. 9 weeks has passed since that, and they still haven't shown up (thanks USPS). The body and miscellaneous stuff (pickguard, control plate etc) came from a guy on Ebay, and the Warmoth neck followed soon after. I gave up on the Monstertones and ordered some Wizard 84's. Put on a Gotoh 201 bridge and some Hipshot HB2's and she was ready to roll. Here's a fair few pics of the build and the final piece! Oh, and it sounds bitchin!
5. Come on folks, these are just sat here. PM me an offer if you want, I can only say no.
6. Hi all, I need a good bass tech in the north west, Lancashire preferably. I know of manchesterguitartech and that ged green fellow, but looking for things slightly closer to home. Any one know of anyone?
7. Hi all, looking to sell some chrome Schaller BML tuners. Bought these off ebay and they took a while to arrive, so I bought some Hipshots. And now they've turned up and I've no use for them! They're 2nd hand off ebay, but no issues with them at all. Comes with bushings and screws. Looking for £40 delivered which is what I paid. Here's couple of pics from the auction. Ta very muchly
8. I'll be honest, I really miss being in the g-3 club
9. I said it on talkbass, and I'll say it on here...'beautiful'
10. I got some Wizard 84's on Friday to put in a project jazz, the bridge pup works fine, but the neck has extremely low output. Barely audible in fact. Any one have a reason why this would be? I've tried pickup height and checked my wiring is good but can't understand what's going wrong. Would a faulty pot cause reduced volume? Merci
11. And that's all I needed to know! Thanks folks
12. Hi all, I'm thinking about picking up some Wizard 84's, and just seeing if they come with pickup screws? Doesn't seem to say on the site and would like to know before I get them and can't install them! Cheers
13. I'm in Lancaster, Lancashire. It's just annoying seeing a beautiful neck and body sat there screaming to be rocked out with, but alas, I must wait. Just been reading about USPS taking many weeks to reach their destination, so mayeb there's some hope it's still out there.
14. No tracking numbers for Priority Mail for USPS if it was sent in an envelope apparently. I'm kicking myself because I've never had any problem with shipping, and the guy offered a more expensive type of shipping with numbers, but I said no. I'll get onto RM soon, I think it's 15 days you have to wait before they look into it. I'm now tempted to buy more new tuners and pickups, but I know the minute I do it, they'll turn up!

Thanks folks, I'll keep it in mind
16.
No it's chained down.
That's a pity, thought I'd found an orange amp that would fit in with my budget! (see sig)
17. This is driving me crazy. I'm making a fender/warmoth jazz and it's all set to go apart from tuners and pickups. Tuners are from Sussex and were shipped 2 weeks ago, first class. Nothing yet. Pickups were shipped 5 WEEKS ago from the US, and nothing yet. I'm getting a feeling they're somewhere at the bottom of the Atlantic. Anyone have really bad experiences with shipping or really long times? I just wanted to vent sorry, it's time like this you realise how much you just sit and pick up a bass when you're hanging out. Oh well, there's always tomorrows post!

Can someone tell me what 'darker' sounding means on the 84's? I had a look into them and I'm after a dirty grinding bass tone, but does darker mean that?
19. Very nice! I sold one of these about a month ago and kinda miss it now. Great solid tone and feel. Might I be cheeky and ask how much you got it for? PM me if you don't want to say
20. Smash, yes it does I'm afraid. Maybe keep an eye for a 2nd hand one? I don't know about you, but I get really fussy about neatness and a tidy pedalboard, so the cost was worth it in my case, as it eliminates an extra power supply and the gigrig is small enough to look neat and tidy. I sold my xo microsynth and gigrig late last year on here...you gotta be quick!!
21. I honestly don;t know about using more than 1 pedal. You could either shoot the guys an email at Gigrig, or maybe ask Higgie on here as I know he used/uses one? And the muff isn't mine I'm afraid....although the one I have is in even better condition
22. The XO Microsynth WILL work on a daisy chain, but you have to use a Gigrig Virtual Battery (about £25-30), attach it to a connector on the daisy chain then join the gigrig and the microsynth. The gigrig works as an isolated output and therefore takes away the 'daisy chain' element. I did this using a Johnnyshredfreak power supply and got no hum whatsoever. The Gigrig people are nice guys too so support them!
