  1. Man, I just checked out your videos in Youtube... You have a new subscriber. Wonderful! The bass is really nice too.
  2. Due to the current downwards fluctuation of the pound, I cannot include delivery in the price anymore. Sorry, lads, it is 2550 pounds + shipping. If anybody feels tempted about this bass (which you should...), but wants to see in detail the dings I mentioned in the first post, you can find them in the following link: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNR7mATaUJ8n3aFJL2n6xk3sdTFCudl-w9uP3LCSwDN4Y72S9Bg-OnCpSfYPZ8Ekg?key=bF9kNFNOTXl0U0ZWYWY3Y1ZvZkd2alNneEtha0RB It is a 30 year old bass. Yeah, it has wrinkles. But aaaaall the wisdom (and the tone...).
  3. Rainer, I have never seen any bass of yours in BC that was anything less than amazing. And they have been a few. I still have the Matt Garrison I bought from you. It was as good as new. GLWTS
  4. Right, the new "expensive" Warwick/Sadowskys are the Masterbuild. Sorry, I still have to get used to the new names. It is a gorgeous bass. Enjoy it
  5. Warwick Sado, right? How does it compare to the US models?
  6. Just yesterday, bro. Give me a break 😉 I answer you by PM.
  7. Losing a beautiful girlfriend is sad... But there's always another one with prettier blue eyes.
  8. Yes, it is. All 25th Anniversary instruments have, to the best of my knowledge, mahogany body and koa top.
  9. I am selling again the Jerzy. I barely use it, even now, that I am home all the time. Moreover, I would like to make space for some other type of instrument (possibly a fretless). So, ladies: I am all yours. Here is a recent recording I made at home with it. Please excuse the very low quality, I just did it using my cell phone.
  10. I don't know if this one is simple. But it sure grooves all the way. Thanks for sharing.
  11. The pics of the pickups: Neck pickup: Bridge pickup: Nobody asked for these. But here you are nonetheless 😁:
  12. I will send a pic of each one when I have the time. Thanks to you
  13. Thanks indeed, Laranjo, but I am not interested in this trade. Please offers by PM.
  14. The fretboard is rosewood for sure, but I couldn't tell which species. Not sure about the pickups either, I am not an expert on the field at all. But it is worth mentioning that they have different Sadowsky logos on them, so one of them is not original. Maybe it was replaced when the VTC was installed. Love your Sado, by the way. Gorgeous.
  15. The Sado is going back to the original price: 2550 pounds. I will include freight in the price, though, to make things easier to everyone.
  16. Standing in the shadows of Motown is a lot of fun. But some of the pieces are quite complicated, particularly from a rythmical standpoint. The bass tradition, by Todd Coolman, is also a very good book.
  17. Manudepaz is also a great guy. Buy with confidence. The bass looks amazing, indeed.
  18. Thanks, Niall. I saw you were looking for a fretless Sado and had the same thinking. My current fretless is a defretted Fender American Series with an epoxy coating, and it is a great instrument. But, to be honest, I would personally not buy a bass to have it defretted (the Fender was already fretless when I bought it). So I can't advice you to do what I would not do myself. Merry Christmas everyone, by the way.
  19. I used to play with a jazz band in the Bilbao area until a couple of years ago. Something totally amateur, just local gigs for fun and a few euro. I have two children and a 9 to 6 job. I managed to get into the local music school to learn upright and that was it: I had to quit the band due to total lack of time. It was bad, the other band members were some real buddies to me and I loved playing with them. I thought I would miss it so badly. I don't. Before I realized it was a part of myself that I had left behind for good. I am way too busy to miss it, as much as I loved it before. My life has other priorities that occupy my mind and make me feel good. Taking into account the personal situation that you describe, I am pretty sure that this will pan out for you in the same way. A hard decision, people that you love, the excitement of a gig... Once you start feeling better with your overall life it will be a sweet memory, but you will have better things moving on and you won't miss it that much.
