  4. Part of my big spring clean. Up for grabs is this awesome dual loop pedal. It really has an impressive feature set. This includes. 3 HOURS of loop time!!! Individual volume faders for each loop, 9 assorted (real drum/perc sets) that can be 3 or 4 time frames (Time sigs). These rhythm kits have their own volume knob and can be set/stored into a preset. If drums/perc aren't your bag..... then don't use this feature. 5 Loop FX (selectable by foot) that include BEND DOWN, STEP PHASER, SWEEP FILTER, TEMPO DELAY and LO-FI. You can connect your bass/guitar in Mono or stereo. The RC-30 also features a stereo line in (mini jack) s well as an XLR for using a mic, this even has a phantom power switch for those that use 'Posh' condenser type mic's. All inputs are loop able. Outputs can be in Mono or Stereo. The unit even has a USB connector for backing up/saving your creative work!!!! On top of all of that ... its built like a tank. Its in fantastic condition and is importantly easy and fun to use.
  5. This bass is in immaculate condition (as it left the factory) It really is an awesome bass. It has a neck through design, is really beautifully crafted and easily on a par with boutique basses costing 2 to 3 times as much. The bass has a very powerful on board preamp that can yield thunderous lows, punchy mids and focused (piano like) highs. The TRB also has 6 individual fully adjustable bridge saddles, each equipped with a piezo pick up. The output of the piezo's can be dialled into taste (or left out of the equation completely.) For many bassists Yamaha's TRB6Pii represents the companies pinnacle in bass design and craftsmanship. Unfortunately for me I've had to come to terms with the fact that 5 strings is as far as i can go. Possible trades with a Roscoe 4 or 5 string or a Mayones Caledonius. Any queries please PM me.
  6. THATS IT !!!! I'm doing it. Big thanks for everyones contribution here....... I've said it before but BASSCHAT is such am awesome community.. LOVE IT
  7. Thanks all, really useful...... Going to give it a go. Not sure about string gauge but not too heavy. I tried a friends P bass strung with flats really liked the feel of them. That might sound daft but I think sometimes that kind of thing can affect how you play! Anyway thanks for your help.....
  8. I'm really not trying to sound stoopid (or play Devil's advocate) but would appreciate your thoughts regarding putting flats on a jazz bass. 1.Is this taboo? 2.Can it work? 3.Does it make any sense? 4. Most importantly can i get that burpy sound from the the bridge pick up using flats? Your thoughts would be VERY welcome best wishes to all paul h

  10. Thanks all...... I had to make a decision and I,ve gone with the TI's from Strings Direct. said it earlier but this forum is brilliant ..... really appreciate everyones contributions ...... However I know feel the (real) need to start a new string related topic.......
  11. Thanks to all for your contributions. This is such a brilliant forum/site for this and other issues. I'm definitely going for flats and start with some low tension ones. I'm REALLY grateful for all of help.. cheers Paul
  12. I'd be really grateful for any advice regarding the best type of strings for a P Bass. I'm unclear about flat wounds . half rounds etc I've got a Fender 62 vintage RI (second hand ), but it came with some very bright sounding round wound strings. The bass sounds very punchy but I'm struggling to get the sound I'm after. Any advice re actual make , gauge etc would be gratefully received. I love that James Jameson tone as well as the bassist who played for Donny Hathaway (don't know his name but he's an awesome bassist.) Also I'm not sue if string gauge is responsible for lower string tension (which I like) or if thats to do solely with scale length. Thanks in advance for any help. cheers paul h (PB)

  15. still for sale
  16. For sale is this incredible Fuzz Factory pedal from Zvex. Its more like Fuzz on STEROIDS!!! Loads of FUZZ shaping opportunities by changing any of the interactive control;s that include VOL (Output), Gate. Compression, Drive and Stability. Immaculate condition.
  17. Thanks for nice comments and PM's. I've been asked the weight of the bass which is 9lbs exactly. Hope that helps.
  18. Up for sale is my BOSS Bass Synth. Fun and infuriating in equal measures. I found that to get the best results I had to experiment with Pickup/Pan, and EQ on the bass. Small changes on the controls of the SYB-5 can make wide sonic changes. Decay/rate as well as Frequency and resonance make a massive difference to the end result. The MODE dial selects from a wide range wave shapes (Saw tooth, Square etc.) If you put this through an envelope filter things can get seriously funky!!
  19. Having a clear out of my bottom drawer. This little headphone amp is designed specifically for bass or guitar. Just plug into your instrument , attach some headphones and play. Don't expect Phil Jones quality and you won't be disappointed. Actually its not half bad and great for those times when you just want to do a bit of practice without disturbing anyone. It also has a mini jack IN for jamming along to your favourite tunes.Powered by a 9 volt battery Its a handy little gizmo to keep in your gig bag.
