1. heya guys had the audition and unfortunately they werent for me, they were nice guys but they didnt even have a drummer and they were a good 40 minutes drive away and doing that every friday would not have been cool and i didnt feel the magic or the spark with them when i started playing either so i suppose i have to keep looking. thanks again though for all your advice i'll definately remember it

 9.
Remember guys. They look at the others but we make the boobs bounce.
Thats just brilliance i may have to tweet this!
 10. for me its when i've put all the practice in and then show up for the gig and everything just runs so smoothly it feels like i can't put a note wrong... also i find i know when i'm "in the groove" as we call it when i dont have to think about it and i can just look up relax and smile and bob away to the music... just my perception though...
 11.
Bass players and female singers often work...IME
+1 to that cos thats my situation
 12. we need your stories guys! this could be a right laugh!
 13.
I erm...pulled a guy once when i was asked to play a precision at a party..i layed down Marcus's, 'Run For Cover' with all the frills, while someone played the bongos...trouble is im not gay...
oh dear so how did you let him down??
 14. ... any attention from the ladies?? just curious because my girlfriend always says she loves me playing and thinks i look really good when i play and its one of the first things she liked/noticed/got hit over the head with like a primal cave man/fell in love with about me... just curious as to wether your plank spanking antics have ever gotten you any attention from the females of our species... and for the ladies amongst us the same question... but obviously unless you drink out of that tap has it ever gotten you some male attention... (why you would want it i dont know but hey what ever floats your boat) Comments and stories please...
 15.
It's always worth going to a good teacher. They will help you progress a lot quicker. Nice one on bring able to play a few tunes in a short space of time, but can I suggest that you spend some of your practice time learning the notes on the fingerboard, and where they are on the stave. You'll thank me later.
+1000000000 to learning the notes on the fretboard its a f***ing live saver trust me i'd be lost now if i'd not done that when i first started... i recommend it to everyone now when ever they ask me how i learnt to play like i do... just learn all of it! (tip tho you only have to learn up to the 12th fret cos its the same after that lol)
 16. thats bloody marvelous that and well done for getting the discount specially for us, very kind of them... and good effort on your part good sir
 17.
Bah! - got to be the real thing. Cheapies don't compare as they have the same old plastic lenses instead of B&L glass in them. My current pair is still as good as new & have lasted ten years so far. I know how old they are as I bought them from the sunglass hut in the World Trade Centre when I was sent on an all-expenses paid fools-errand to New York in 2000.
you'll be happy to hear i to have original pair and i hope they last me aslong as your have... i love wearing them and getting into a groove i just feel so cool
 18.
Indeed, and the biggest challenge of em all is taking your fast lick, and playing it slow flawless...It's so hard! Cause you got used to playing it fast you don't really register what it is...slow it down and it's a whole different ball game.
+1 to this i've learned difficult riffs and licks before at full speed but then when i slow it down to try and show it to some one to learn i completely balls it up almost instantly... its stupid how by slowing something difficult down can f*** with our heads so much...
 19. i've never really suited hats except for those beanies with the brim that sits at a scewy angle on your head... now glasses... i always go for the classics... if i could find a trilby to fit my huge head then i'd have to be the fat one
 20. Metallica's Suicide and Redemption such an awesome bass line by Mr. Rob Trujillo!
 21. i plugged my headphones in especially... and wasnt dissapointed that was some fecking groovy shizz right there much appreciation for that... (All of the above means it was good)
 22.
Does it have a headphone out? A dodgy connection there can lead to volume issues as the amp keeps flicking between speaker and headphone out, assuming plugging 'phones in cuts the speaker off. A quick blast of contact cleaner might help there before you open her up and fire up the soldering iron. My old valvestate combo had a similar problem that a good thwack would sort out. Turned out to be the above and the big capacitors inside becoming loose and needing re-seating/gluing.
i dont think it does but i will double check, i'm going to be going to my local music shop on wednesday so i will tell them the same thing i have told you guys and see what they suggest... but thankyou everyone for your comments and advice i will take it all on board and i'll let you know if i solve the problem
 23. i to agree with the comments about the length of the basses making them more appealing and that guitars look stubby, i am however like RhysP not a fan of single cut basses they've never caught my fancy at all and the same as oldslapper i can't stand headless basses... it would be interesting to post this same question on a guitard forum and see what it would come up with...
 24.
Bassforte? Yes, and bass for breakfast and bass for dinner too. Sorry.
some one had to!
