1. OC-2, OC-2, OC-2!!! POG if you want organ up, or octave up as well. The OC-2 does everything that I could want in an octave! I got my Japanese one off eBay for around £50 around November 2011
2. Sorry guys, I got it! I'll take good care of her!

6. Sorry guys, it's £30 each, forgot to specify! Still a great deal!
7. As a way to shift some kit that is going unused, I'm having a £30 offer! Up for grabs is: Jim Dunlop Cry Baby original EHX Doctor Q (original one-knob housing) Digitech Dual Band Bass Compressor All £30 each! Great bargains for the money, fraction of what I paid, so grab yourself a bargain! Peace, Alec
8.
I can get my Ashdown ABM 410 and 210, Pedaltrain 1 hard case, 2U amp in a rack case, several hard cases and several soft cases in my W reg Vauxhall Corsa with the back seats down. It's like a poorly maintained Tardis.
I also have a W reg corsa, much smaller rig though! Only a 1x12 and a class D he's that fits in my iGig. I do have a pedaltrain mini though... Pushing the boat out to the extreme However, I can fit two/three others in my car with this setup
9. Gutted, even Wizard pickups can't help :'(
10.
I don't know if it counts when those kinds of people will be paid (or at least get for free) the class-D's!
It's still a "classic" sound! Garrison, Grey, Gwizdala. It's nothing but a G-Thang
11.
Amen to that - I bought it in the mid 90s I think - what a feel she plays with. Great live too
There's some incredible playing on that album! I love watching the live video of her and Pino, it makes me want to cry...
12. Anybody have any reccomendations?
13. Alec Stockton - Hull (During semester time) Newton-Le-Willows - Merseyside (during non-semester dates) It all depends on when the relay takes place...
14.
"There's no money past the fifth fret" - some old bass man whose name I can't remember.
Victor Bailey's dad. He told him he should get his first five frets to be made of solid gold before he plays past them
15. Fodera and Class D (tc electronic, epifani etc.) Pretty much all the bass virtuoso's in fusion are using this setup.
16.
Cool, got any recommended albums or songs please?
You should already own Plantation Lullabies as a bassist! It's one of my "Bass Bible" albums!
17. I love the idea of this, so if it ever passes near my neck of the woods, I'll add my part and pass it along. I have a bridge and some pickups knocking around somewhere as my contribution!
18. Meatbox is an expensive option if you ever find that you have cah to burn...
19. Hey guys, bare with me for a minute as I'm not great at explaining myself. Basically (no pun intended), I would like to try and make my bass sound like a Moog synth. e.g. http://youtu.be/pdmg9xHuVo0 Is it possible to get a sound like this out of a bass guitar? I was thinking about tweaking with a Moog Low Pass filter, would this get me anywhere near this tone? Thanks, Alec
20. Headless basses make me churn inside. Please don't kill me 80s patrol...
21. Just an update, I bought the Heavy Duty velcro from B&Q (not cheap!) but it's amazingly powerful! My only criticism would be that the velcro is so strong that I had to superglue the strip to my plastic-bottomed tuner because the adhesive isn't strong enough! Anyway, on metal bottomed pedals, its amazing. BIG recommendation here!
22.
Ahem, at the risk of being a bit controversial I still maintain that the best Fender jazz basses I have owned or played have been Laklands. If you catch my drift!
Same, glad you waded into the fire first though
23.
John Patitucci/Brian Blade Probably missing some, I'm a big fan of jazz rhythm section alchemy as you may have guessed...
Never been a fan of Patitucci's playing, I think Blade is a god though, I love his playing on Joshua Redman's Elastic
