Surely the point of the sensitivity knob is to set the pedal to the level of your bass, so you should get similar sounds with whatever input level, as long as you set the sensitivity control?

Is it not an actual Tele guitar that someone has put bass hardware on? It may explain the neck situation. Would it be easy to put a replacement short-scale neck on? I really like the look of this.

I've had 2 guitar stands and at least 5 decent planet waves leads nicked at gigs. Drummers have the worst of that sh*tty situation though.

I think with some bands it's always best to get them all playing at the same time. If it's just for a demo then it won't matter - it's just the "feel" of it that will change, if it's for commercial release, I would get the lazy f*cker in there! (sorry if he's recovering in hospital or something). RE Jake - It's surely not as clear cut as that? Some whole albums are recorded by highly rehearsed bands to a click, it's not going to make THAT much difference, althought I agree in principle I would want the singer there.

You make the whole band look sh*t by stopping a song once it's started. It doesn't matter who's fault it is, you all look as stupid as each other.

It depends how well you are rehearsed. In my band, the drummer would play on his own, then I would play to that, then the guitarist to that, and put vocals on last.

I use guitar pedals with bass. I think it's generally accepted that you will loose low end and some definition doing this with most guitar pedals, and that mixing the effected signal with a dry signal will help reduce this (this is what I do).

I think the chords thing will be the same for most octave pedals. Apparently the EH POG does it, but I remain sceptical until I try it. Otherwise you need a midi pup and etc.

If you make lots of pedal changes, practice them at rehersal, and wear appropriate shoes, and wear the same shoes you practice in for your gigs!

I use my OC-2 for horrible glitchy 2 octave down sounds. I use my digiteh XP-100 for octave down sounds. It tracks very well, and has quite a nice tone. The standard digitech whammy has a crap tone though IMO.
