In a fit of generousity, I've plumped for Wayne's cajon. It's just looks soo nice, is on offer, and has a bag included. Thanks All
It has arrived already! There's me hoping it would arrive on time for Wednesday's band practice :-D It's the first Cajon I've seen up close, but the quality seems good, and a carry case/rucksack is included, which is perfect, as he will need to get it home on the bus.

I'd highly recommend The Delegators live. They're playing at Camden's Jazz Cafe on the 5th Feb http://mamacolive.com/thejazzcafe/listings/date/2014/2/5/ http://youtu.be/CZjRdOR8h-g http://youtu.be/j0ZjW9KZAVE

I'm glad the experience didn't put you off Lee! I've actually just done a straight amp swap today, and drove for an hour to meet half way, rather than put up with courier hell again :-D

Are Mexican basses really underrated ?

I had a Mexican Precision, but would never buy one again. When I opened the case, the 'tort' scratchplate was actually tortilla. -
Good call. I'll be 64 next August.
The way I read it, it's marketed more towards the super clean, more hi fi end of the market (albiet with the option to add colour*), so is is a different beast to the AD200 *orange, obviously
Doesn't seem to be anything in events. Keep me in the loop as I'd like to make an appearance. We can have a stupid rig off!
Do they say how much it is?

just saw that sleeved its like 1599?
At that price, there is some serious competition in the SS world - it had better be amazing! Agreed it seems odd that it's that heavy and class D.

I've just traded amps with Freddie. Communication was excellent and he's a really top chap to deal with.
http://basschat.co.u...um/23-feedback/ Go to the feedback forum, and do a search for the username of the person for whom you would like to leave feedback. If they have a thread already, pop it in there. If they have no feedback thread, create one (Thread title should be their name, or "Feedback for xxxxx")
The cost of the geotec surveys where you're planning on firing this behemoth up? While I applaud your plans to destroy Nottingham; I wouldn't like to see a basschatter fall in to a sink hole caused by seismic activity! P.S. let me know when you're going to do it as there are a couple of hills nearby that'd give me an excellent view of the carnage!
Haha I had forgotten the fact that 80% of Nottingham is built on mineshafts, and the other 20% on caves. There is a midlands bass bash on the cards, so all being well, I'll bring it then :-)
I have an MIM strat which is now my favourite guitar out of however many I've owned over the years. I played it in the shop and it was love at first strum. Try all the ones you can and get a good one!
The guitarist in our band has a lot of guitars, but only ever gigs his MiM Strat. -
Shekere gourd/bead thing.
Thanks, will see if any are within budget

Is that because he's so young, or just because he's a drummer? :-D Thanks folks. He's petty sorted for kit protection. If money were no object, I'd buy him a van so I wouldn't have to keep giving him bloody lifts :-D

It's our drummer's 21st coming up and we wanted to get him something. Nothing too big, maybe up to £50, more likely less. We're happy to take the piss (metronomes, etc) or alternatively thought a nice percussion instrument might be nice (he's also a wannabe percussionist) Nice mug too http://www.cafepress.co.uk/mf/75704884/the-tempo-is_mugs?productId=769849827 Anyone any suggestions/websites that might be good? What do you call those sphere things surrounded in chain, like in this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvHFuJX2Ock

Was Tayste's PX offer still a bit too rich?

Shouldn't the title be 5v6 ? Anyway, you want a six, get a six. Besides, it's one louder.

Welcome to the forum John. The way I see it, if a neck was manufactured with the correct amount of relief built in, then I'd be happy to do all action adjustments on the bridge. To me, changing relief is just a means of counteracting neck movements due to string changes - getting rid of the associated buzz, not adjusting action. If a neck never moved, regardless of string type, then a good bridge should be all you need to adjust action. You'd need to be pretty damned sure that it will never move though! Good luck with the project.
