It still astounds me the fantastic range of basses at great prices dont sell! Is money still tight therefore new basses have dropped in price, is it that money is tight in general or are sellers just being unrealistic on their guitars worth? Shame!

I play in 3 tribute bands in Scotand with different singers! We play in great venues and paid well! And we get to support ourselves which is great for sound checks etc! The key is picking bands with loads of hits and great singers too! I think were pretty good but there are some awful tributes out there but some incredible ones too! I enjoy not playing wee pubs, bursting my ears for £200 and playing to 50 folk! Each to their own though! I get that there is musical snobbery in "own stuff" but it bores most punters to death !

As he risks getting a "doin", I just dont get it! I understand its great musicianship. But what ive heard, I just dont!

A misery

Man! Some folk! Why can people sometimes, when you can't get to rehearse with them, and a big high paying gig coming up, not accept that in certain cases they need to stand aside and let the gig go! I think its quite a selfish thing to not be able to rehearse due to work but not understand that the band in this case would suffer! Its only one gig and they dont need the money! The expectation from the booker is high and the rep of the others and the band is at stake! May be im wrong!?

I feakin love my bongo HH! Ive never had a bass that kicks like it! Love it love it!

Folks i'm sure this will have been discussed many times but wanted some opinions on this. I have always been a Warwick fan and still have my 91 stage 11. As time has gone on, I dont feel the Warwicks are just as good as they were 20 odd years ago! Moved onto a Bongo last year which I love but wanted somthing a bit lighter and just got a spectorcore and I know its cheaper but Im astounded at the quality! So are the higher end Spectors as good as I expect! They look the biz and I get the feeling that Spector is on the up or have they always been? Cheers folks!

Looking through whats for sale just now and what a selection of basses offered! Some seem to have been on a while with many price drops! Is the market saturated or have we high expectations of used prices or both! Great if your in the market to buy though!
