1. It's more likely they will be pooing on the gig bag but it would certainly add an extra dimension :-) We shall see.
2. Is it an illusion or is the neck very wide at the nut - what is the measurement there?
3. Sold him a Barto pre-amp - seems like a splendid fellow :-)
4. Great condition and all working - lots of tone options. None of the overheating issues that can be read about on the net. I rang GK and they said it only affected early ones and if it has not had a problem now it never will. Have used this at church only (whihc is louder than you might think but not bonkers...) Ideally collection only from Junc11 of the M25. Open to sensible offers Stuart
5. Slightly tarnished by the corrosively sweaty fingers of the previous user, but they work fine. 5 string 3 and 2 set up, or 4 sting 2 and 2 and one spare. In fact on closer inspection they appear to be of the type that you can take apart and change the side of, so you could also make them 4 on one side and one on the other. I do not have the correct sized allen key but perhaps someone can confirm? Price for all 5, plus postage at cost. Based Chertsey, Surrey. Thanks! Stuart
6. I was looking for the 'like ' button but there isn't one. Bass Direct seem to shift a ton of expensive basses, certainly more expensive than they can be found on here so there must be money out there. Might try eBay...
7. Thank you so much :-) I thought it was just me. Maybe I should hammer some frets in?
8. 'Is this overpriced, does everybody hate it or are the photos rubbish?' bump.
9. I'm sorry, but I love this description :-)
10. This came out of my Roscoe (see basses for sale) and is as far as I know the original 3 band pre-amp. Includes the small volume rheostat that Roscoes have on the back, several pots not all of which worked, a switch that has been bodged to run the system on passive mode and another Bartolini looking pre-amp module that is unlabelled. It mostly all worked in the Roscoe but the wiring was a mess so i just stripped it all out to get the bass ready to sell. Not sure what it is worth - if it is of value to you make me an offer. 11. Sad to sell but I have not the time nor the skill to get the best from this bass. Fabulous build quality, bonkers B string, Lots of fretless mah and stuff. Bartolinis and brand new 3 band Klokengang pre-amp with switchable passive. 35" scale and not at all heavy. Condition pretty good- a few small marks on the body but neck pretty much immaculate. Comes with a beautiful duvet like Roscoe gig bag which your cats will love. Would very much prefer local pick-up or face to face exchange at a seedy motorway service station somewhere to posting it. The strap, string mute and the horn are not included, just in case you were wondering :-). Stuart Based junc 11 of M25. 07976 445772
12. Bought these in process of converting my Spitfire from chrome to black, then managed to get the original knobs locally anodised black. Free postage on these! http://www.bassdirec...ists/Knobs.html £6 each from the UK stockist - £4.50 (each) from me. Stuart
13. This has serrved well for a number of years but I found a new one on-line for a great price so swooped. There is some gaffa tape-age on this which covers the odd crack. The handle is sound and the gaffa tape around it is holding down the furry bits (at least i assume that what it does - it's certainly not holding down the handle which is solid.) So all very usable, just a bit roadworn.
14. Very clever! Never thought of that.
15. Had this for a couple of years- great fun and you learn so much by using it, but I am too busy these days. Intuitive and well featured. I chose this over the Boss version because it had drum sounds and a click track plus quantization. it's possible the boss has this as well now. Anyway, all good :-) Junc 11 M25 S
