1. 48hours and not one single comment - feeling very unloved :-(
2. 4 string, Shoreline gold with rosewood fingerboard. Have owned for 4 years and barely played. Action is super low. Everything works! Couple of little dings but nothing to get stressed about (well - in my opinion!) Based near Junc 11 of the M25 Want to sell not swap - open to offers :-)
3. £1400 not £1600 Hi all, time has come to move on my GB Spitfire 5 string. Its the one that was reviewed in Bass Magazine and got 97%. I changed the faded gold hardware for black a couple of years ago - I prefer the more modern look and it has smartened it up considerably.. Serviced by Bernie in Brighton 2 years ago. Played only in church (no stage dives or mosh pits) and in really good condition just the odd very small ding. There is a bit of noise on a couple of the pots - needs a bit of switch cleaner. Locking jack, 1 year old Hiscox case. It sounds awesome, thick and kind of brutal and you can read all about it in the article which describes it much better than I ever will. I am the second owner. My reason for selling is to downsize- I am not a great player and don't deserve this, plus my daughter is getting married and I need the cash. For my Land Rover. Junc 11 of M25.
4. Bought a Yamaha TRB5ii - very welcoming and helpful, a really good guy and a pleasure to do business with :-)
5. Where in N London are you based?
6. Do you now what the scale length is?
7. I wish I owned a bass with a walnut crotch.
8. Will pm you.
9. Bassinga. Might swop for something interesting. A 1997 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi for example.
10. It's more likely they will be pooing on the gig bag but it would certainly add an extra dimension :-) We shall see.
11. Is it an illusion or is the neck very wide at the nut - what is the measurement there?
12. Sold him a Barto pre-amp - seems like a splendid fellow :-)
13. Great condition and all working - lots of tone options. None of the overheating issues that can be read about on the net. I rang GK and they said it only affected early ones and if it has not had a problem now it never will. Have used this at church only (whihc is louder than you might think but not bonkers...) Ideally collection only from Junc11 of the M25. Open to sensible offers Stuart
14. Slightly tarnished by the corrosively sweaty fingers of the previous user, but they work fine. 5 string 3 and 2 set up, or 4 sting 2 and 2 and one spare. In fact on closer inspection they appear to be of the type that you can take apart and change the side of, so you could also make them 4 on one side and one on the other. I do not have the correct sized allen key but perhaps someone can confirm? Price for all 5, plus postage at cost. Based Chertsey, Surrey. Thanks! Stuart
15. I was looking for the 'like ' button but there isn't one. Bass Direct seem to shift a ton of expensive basses, certainly more expensive than they can be found on here so there must be money out there. Might try eBay...
