1. i dont think the value of it would be raised too much by mods, people like things original, unless you still have the original parts?? if so, refit those and sell the badass and quarter pounder seperate, your are guranteed to make more how much did you buy it for originally?
2. off the first page already! type bump id like to get these sold guys
3. i thought as much tbh, i had an idea of a sound that this would be like with an active; weaker and less bottom, meh ah well!
4. i have heard this before actually, although i only ever used mine with the akai so i dont know
5. does it work with actives well?? the tone that ed is getting is what id want out of it, sounds like a blowtorch, but better
6. £939.... i hope someone on here bought it!
7. alot of people dont know anything about them i own the bigger version, the blx130, and its awesome, merton is challenging Shuker's building time () with an extension cab for it too. I love it, great tone, and the clever cabinet makes it sound louder than 200 even some 300w combos. if you'll deliver it for £150 (using interparcel's cheap prices), £150 is a sound price
8. most modern solid state pedals these days hardly ever go over 50ma, its only big digital pedals or as said valve pedals that demand 100ma plus, and these sorts of pedals almost always come supplied with their own supply
9. pm'd!!
10. i thought it was just a rumour
11. that sounds brilliant, i love that tone

had lots of muse inflicted GAS for one of these when i first started playing 2 years ago, not really thought about one since, id love to give one a try!!
13. why is everyone selling their korg tuners?? is there something about to happen we should know about??
14. i have an original akai 9v power supply, which came with an Akai deep impact. would be great for somebody wanting to boost the value of their deep impact or unibass if they dont already have the original supply. its as new, and is all good. of course, it can be used with normal boss type power supply pedals, it's 200ma. no idea what its worth tbh, so any help would be appreciated cheers
15. 8x 9v at 500ma would still work for most pedals, certainly would be fine for 8 boss pedals or similar, wouldnt it??
16. been watching this, its one of the best looking basses iv seen, but i know that the sound would never please me as much as the looks. seems in superb condition, and at the moment is a great price http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=270278182008
17.
Sorry to disagree, but you're also chatting out of your arse Kev! - A Stingray, or any other bass is worth exactly what people are willing to pay for it, not what the seller wants for it.
very true! i rephrase, £470 is not a fair current market value of a stingray, around £600 is
18. oo you bitch
19. im gunna predict £325...
20.
Hi Dave, Thank you for sending me the neck measurements. I'm definitely interested in the bass. Do you have a clear picture of the decal on the headstock, please - it's a bit indistinct in your photos, and I can'y make out what it actually says. Also, is there some sort of case or gigbag with it? The really tricky bit is a value. Here's my thinking: Musicman prices are low right now. Good secondhand ones can be had for £470, according to Basschat In fact secondhand prices of just about everything seem to be low at the moment 2 year old OLP MM2 sold for £100 on ebay yesterday. Of course, yours would be worth more than this. I was considering a 4 month old Fender Mark Hoppus on ebaY. It failed to sell at £310. So, all ends up, I reckon yours is somewhere between £100 for the OLP MM2 and £470 for a good Musicman Stingray. Tricky, really... I'd like to speak to Jim Cairns just to get the history of your bass - I'll try to contact him tomorrow. In the meantime, I'd like to offer you £275 with a gigbag. I'll sort out a courier if you could pack it securely for me. I hope you can see my reasoning here! Please let me know what you think. That neck looks lovely... Steve
£470 is never what a stingray is worth, in the last week a couple of standard ray's have sold for £650-£800. you get the odd dead auction on ebay, but you will never, EVER see anyone willingly sell their stingray for that cheap £350 is the right price for a bass like this.
21. not really bothered by them tbh, as long as they are dots, square blocks, or the rickenbacker type ones, the others inlays iv seen i just dont like.
22. not sure about rob's, but my stingray 5 is a beast at 12 pounds, so im sure this is at least lighter than that!

right, just to clarify exactly what i mean here. Possible sales of bass and necks: Graphite neck: will only be sold seperatly if i have a firm offer on the stingray with original neck. Original neck: will only be sold seperatly if i have a firm offer on the stingray with graphite neck i recommend if someone wants this, they strongly consider buying both, as it is by far the most cost effective option, and will retain value for a rare bass. any more questions about this, please tell me via PM. Serious offers welcome to be made in this thread.
