1. On Talkbass, someone has granted my wish and done a sound comparison between these strings and some DR Highbeams... http://www.talkbass....835/index4.html Off that, i think i will by a set, the midrange character sounds superb and i think they will sound fantastic on my Warwick
2. So has anyone tried these? I like the sound of them, but then again i dont think anyone is going to get an idea of what they are like until they go for some, unless someone puts up a video of a string comparison... £40 is a little steep unless they are worth it!

Sold !

Lovely bass and an awesome instrument for sure! However, imagine from that period it will be a wenge fingerboard? Bump!

DI Buzz

There is a ground lift button under the line out, switching didn't have any effect

DI Buzz

The buzz is much louder when the amp is switched off, by the way, is that normal?
8. I have an old Warwick amp and upon using the DI output to my mixer for the first time there is a loud hum/buzz. Usual things have been checked, there is no buzz on any other input/output on the amp or the mixer, not computer equipment etc. The buzz from the DI, however, disappears if i plug the line out into something. What do you think this issue is? Seems its a grounding issue that is solved by connecting the line out to earth, but why is this happening?? I know nothing on this subject so forgive me if i havn't given a great explanation...
9. Yeah, seems to be 17mm, i assume that is the norm for Fender types?
10. Recently received a bass in a trade and unfortunately two of the four tuners need to be replaced, so given it's an old Harmony i am not going to find like for like tuners anywere, so will be replacing all of them. Basically, i am not comfortable drilling my bass, and don't have the money to pay anyone to do it for me, so given that majority of tuners would require 4 new holes to be drilled, i have looked at alternatives. The Hipshot Ultralite would only need 1 hole to be drilled for each tuner, but they are very expensive for what they are. However today i have found these: http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_5271wt_1397 does anyone have any experience with them? They are a bigger and no doubt not as fluid as the ultralites, and the screw is curiously at the top rather than the bottom (will this have an affect on the stability of the tuner?), however the price seems spot on. Recommendations?
11. are they reversible? i.e. will the work for 4 in a row as well as 2 x 2?
12. City Link have today managed to damage a Trace Elliot amp: Amp has clearly been dropped with a damaged outer casing, despite being marked Fragile, and with such force part of the innards have become loose and consequently the amp is now not working. Avoid like the plague.
13. Yeah, didn't work for me either last week. Assumed it was due to my intermittent internet connection, however it appears not!
14. I'd find it hard not to if i was local.
15. Worth a look at that price, surely?
16. Some people confuse me so!
17. Will now ship this for £100.00. Trade is currently pending however not yet finalised.
18.
To be completely honest its not a bad price for what it is. I played a raft of these new ones when Warwick got the first batch done and they were fantastic for the money. Only real problem is the lack of a curved body.
Missed the point though buddy, as nice a bass as it may be, he is advertising it as a Warwick, not a Warwick Rockbass
19. ....now read its only a year old, so its one of the new Rockbasses. Naughty listing!
20. Pretty sure that isn't a Rockbass........ Fairly sure Rockbasses have one piece maple necks and don't have the two piece bridge (apart from the new ones) Although weird the headstock isnt photographed.
21. Do you have a price for the head alone??
22. Off topic, but that Pedulla just looks awesome!
