  1. It's a Silly Point to make though. Is it Japanese or Maiden England? etc... etc..
  2. Any downers? - Zappa
  3. Stand Up - Diamond Dave
  4. not just trimming the strings either - that's small potatoes compared to the unfinished wood he's left at the bottom and lack of rear strap peg.
  5. Silver and Gold - U2, but mostly me, me, me.
  6. Bongo to Wrongo in two swift cuts. people? You can keep ‘em.
  7. Nice. great demonstration of how to use a P&C properly. Mine is just used for filth.
  8. you know, it's much easier to learn to play the synthesiser...... not as much fun though.
  9. I put my P&C in the effects loop of my Meatball for some great synth tones. Not much use on its own though.
  10. Alas, not so in my case.
  11. A doddle. I've had a couple of these, mine were the ones with solder lugs, so this one, which has the screw terminals will be even easier. Do it. Honestly these are the best after-market preamps I've ever put in a jazz.
  12. HollyWood - RHCP https://youtu.be/fXGelB9uxcM
  13. Hopefully she's sat at home safe and warm and wood-shedding whilst we're left wasting time on here!
  14. Stinkfoot - Zappa
  15. These two are very different beasts. The RS77 are much higher tension than the Nexus strings; if you're going to move to 77s from the nexus then drop a gauge e.g. .105" to .100", that will mitigate the increased stiffness.
  16. I always find that live albums are the best way to discover what a band is capable of. Good suggestion.
  17. Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me - Die Schmitts.
  18. Teenage Prostitute - Zappa
  19. Nope. I refuse to read things that are in comic sans font too.
  20. Agreed. BSSM is pretty much the perfect album; incredible performances of great songs that were recorded and produced in a manner that embellished all of the above.
  21. The Chicken - PeeWee Ellis (& Jaco)
  22. Poultry in Motion - Johnny Tillotson.
  23. Disintegration gets my vote.
  24. I've managed to remove the battery connector on my iPod classic (in my defences they are held on by small amounts of bugger all) and wondered if any BCers know of anyone who can res-older either the existing socket, or fit a new one? My only alternative is to buy a new logic board at £100, and I'd rather not spend that much if possible. I'm in East Lancashire/North Manchester, but don't mind couriering it if someone comes recommended. There re lots of phone repair shops locally, but I think they just do cracked screens/part replacement and they're a bit of a mixed bunch.
  25. ^This guy gets it^ 'Sir Psycho Sexy' for me too. Funky Mutron goodness from Flea, tight rhythm work from Frusciante, and a wobbly vibraphone to boot. This track has it all. If I had to pick a 2nd favourite then it would most likely be 'Coffee Shop' from One Hot Minute. Flea is ON POINT!!!
