  1. QUESTION!!

I am considering to pre-order a Baum Nidhogg bass (1 day pre-order time left ...). But I hate buying a bass without being able to play it beforehand ...

I play heavy crushing doom metal tuned in C and need a full warm and heavy sound, not a poppy bass sound. Does anyone know if this would be any good? Anyone got any experience using that bass for heavy music? Thanx a lot!! Cheerz

Cool looking bass. I have no experience of them, sorry, but they certainly look the part. The couple of youtube videos I could find suggest that they'd sound pretty good.

  2. Hello, I own and use my Boss GT-10B since many years and I am still very happy with it ... but, I'd like to have a hardware back-up in case something goes wrong with it, it is built like a tank, but you never know, right? Does anyone know if I can upload my user patches from my GT-10B into an GT-1B? I have used the 'GT-10BFxFloorBoard' software to download the patches from my GT-10B to my PC. Are these patches the same format (.syx) as the ones used on the GT-1B? ... In other words, could I maybe use the same software or maybe the 'GT-10B Librarian' software to push my existing patches from my GT-10B into the GT-1B? ... Is there a way to make that work, pls? This might work if the patches have the same extension, but I am not sure that is the case ... and I am not sure what software to use to then push the patches into the GT-1B ... Thank you, All!!! Play on!
  3. Hi there, I am looking for black (colored) strings, preferably stainless steel and in the range of 65 to 130. This is for 4-string, but I usually buy a 5-string set of which I then use the 4 thickest strings. (normally I use D'Addarío EXL170-5, these are long scale with diameter (45) - 65 - 80 - 100 - 130, but now I am looking for a black colored variant). The closest I have found on the net are the DR Electric Black Beauties ref. 6-00781-00201-1 which is a 4-string set with 50 - 70 - 90 - 110, but I would like to find a set which goes up to 130 diameter on the E. Preferably that I can order somewhere in Europe (I'm from Belgium). Thanx, dudes! All your help is very much appreciated!! Play on! (by the way, I found out that the Warwick Black Labels are NOT black strings ...). Cheerz, all!
