Yep, it's an odd one. When they used to Digital Village you could get stock from their shops or order from the warehouse in Romford, so I presume at some point when they went under they were incorporated into a larger European concern. I wish they'd be a bit more upfront about it though.

When I've been in the opposite position i.e. needing to hire, I've always found that it hasn't really made economic sense, as the cost of hire has tended to be considerably more than we were getting for the gig. My concern would therefore be making it cost-effective for bands/ensembles but also making it financially worth your while for doing it. Bear in mind if you're looking at doing the sound yourself (rather than just handing the PA over) you'll need to be first one there and last one out, which can be a long day/evening and can make it not really financially-viable.

Yes, I had this recently too. The DV247 website isn't clear where products are shipped from - with a '.co.uk' address and a bricks and mortar store shown on their website, it's slightly disconcerting to find when you place your order it's shipping from the EU. My thing was low value so wasn't an issue, but I could imagine being quite surprised if it had been a high value item.

Why does it need to be a competition? They're both great. SR was backing Corey Henry a while back - absolutely fantastic: I really want to know how he keeps the beanie perched on the back of his head in the first song! If I tried that it would ping off somewhere never to be seen again!

I remember I saw him when the Headhunters went on tour to promote ‘Return of the Headhunters’. He was a huge man, the bass balanced across his, um, belly, and he walked up to the mic and said “I guess I got a little more funk on me than the last time I was here”, patted his belly and went on to absolutely tear the house down - absolutely amazing. So funky.

I bought the Mark Stand but it hasn't been out of its bag - instead I picked one of these up: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/braeda-laptop-support-black-60150176/ Fits perfectly, and tilts it at just the right angle. You lose any floor coupling, but works well if you're on top of your amp. I've even used it on top of the extension cab.

Just to say, I've never felt overfaced with the single CMD121P, but I've used it with the extension cab for louder gigs and its easily held its own against overdrive valve amps etc.

I looked at the Swissonic router too - but as DaytonaRik says, it's ruddy expensive! I have ended up taping an old Netgear router to the bottom of the rack case, which seems to work fine. Not pretty though! If I had the time/money/inclination and I was doing it over again, I think I'd probably get a 1U sliding rack draw and mount the router to that so it can slide out when in use. However, that would compromise siting it on stage - at the moment, because it's all contained within the rack footprint you can put it wherever - I did a gig where someone else had a similar setup and he chucked his under the raised stage at the side, and lying on its side!

IME you get out of the MB what you put in - so it's a 'cleaner' amp. If you're happy using drive/preamp pedals for your sound if you want grit, then it'll be fine. The VLE is great - turn it full up for a motown style sound, and wind it back for a cleaner sound.

Well, nothing, so I've opened an unpaid buyer case, and as soon as that is concluded it''ll be relisted. Hopefully another £1 final value offer comes along shortly, otherwise this will be a very expensive annoyance. What a complete and utter waste of my time.
