2.
We did a gig at a pub in Brighton Marina last night. Great crowd - had them all singing and dancing by the end of the evening so can't complain.. ..But just how scary is it when pub landlords or managers start telling you how to do your sound!!! You want to say something like " P*ss off and go pull some pints and we'll do our F*ing sound, thanks" but you can't, can you.... Typical sh*te acoustics in there as well, but did I start telling him how to rebuild his pub? Good night though...
Maybe he knows the room better than you?

 4.
there are more box basses shipped to Europe than in the US, and a dozen or more in Belgium (go figure). I have a shipper that ships world wide, from my small garage in Detroit to everywhere on the planet. The internet is a wonderful thing. you can phone Bogdon's shipper at 1-313-277-0700 and ask. or go to bogdonmusic.com and email
Thanks, I was after a free one in return for a review Tell you what, I could easily make 300 dollars worth of recommendations to make your website work better/sell more boxes/get you more gigs if you fancy an exchange See My Feedback Section for comments of that aspect of my life
 5.
Im one of those terrible people that wears whatever the hell I put on in the morning. When on tour, changing into 'performance' clothes is the last thing on my mind. We're a music group, not a touring fashion show. Of course its completely different when working as tribute acts, theatre work, covers and functions etc.
You should give it a go one tour and see if you get better reaction, sell more merch, get more return bookings, increase the hits on your myspace, actually get someone to sit next to you in the tour bus etc .. Go on, just ten gigs or so
 6.
has it sold then?? bollox
Very likely .. guy's looking at it Monday but probably ... Sorry mate

Got a fair few wireless waves throbbing around our stages these days, including a bug, so need to know it will fit in
I'm told we have one with a grey cover which I think is the indicator of the frequency so if yours isn't grey I'll see my mate is interested..
 9.
"a liberating philosophy" at some level isn't that a large part of what music is about? of course if anyone wants to pursue perfection - that is their call, but for me that would be sheer drudgery.
Depends on the circumstances .. a glaring mistake on your demo says "bad attitude" "they don't care enough" and thus influences the decisions of the person you sent it to. If that person is looking to book you for money then you loose .. all for a C# instead of a C ...
 10.
The beginning of American English by Wax where either Andrew Gold or Graham Gouldman starts a count in over the drums, then shouts Hold it, and then does the count again. EDIT: Actually looking at the start of the thread again I suspect that is just not what you are talking about is it as it is so obvious
Thought of another one .. Mommas and Poppas "I saw her today" they start singing a verse a couple of bars early, stop and then start again in the right place .. mind you it's 4 part harmony so I suspect they meant to do it ...
 11.
You could just sample the squeaky pedal and have it triggered before every kick.
Easy one I meant the scrunched tape that needed ironing
 12.
According to Andy Johns (the engineer) it's the bass drum pedal. Wasn't there an accident with the master tape when they were mixing Led Zep III? I think I read that the first few inches of the tape got crinkled up somehow, and they had to iron it flat to get it through the tape heads, resulting in that weird hissing sound at the beginning of "Immigrant Song".
Really hard to fake those things on ProTools

 14.
LOL I ain't pretty enough. Hung like a horse like, but rough as a badger's.
Well you never know, some people may be impressed by that, lady horses maybe?
 15.
thank you for writing about the Bogdon Box Bass. It isn't a replacement for quality materials and fine luthier craftsmanship, but rather it's a crazy fun bass to see, hear, and play. Here's a link to Bass Player Magazine's review of the box bass http://www.bassplayer.com/article/bogdon-b...ss/jan-08/32919
So how about shipping a few over for review on this very influential and well read UK Bass players' web forum?

There's a roaring wrong bass note in a KC and the Sunshine band tune .. I think it's in the outro or last verse of Please Don't Go.
