8.
but the pound is stronger now than 8 years ago, it could have been more towards a tenner
Ah true .. So 60% of new price .. OK It's worth six quid ... ah but it needs a repaint - I think. Hard to tell without the punctuation of course "the bass was bought for 850 i have receipt next to me with bag and police line do not cross starp and a behringer bt10b 15 watt amp no jack yet but can get one if required the paint needs re doing" "The bass was bought for 850. I have [the] receipt next to me with [a] bag and "Police line! Do not cross" strap, and a Behringer BT10b 15 watt amp. No jack yet but can get one if required. The paint needs re-doing" So is it the bass that needs its paint re-doing, the Behringer amp or the missing jack?
 9. Welcome! Your wife has taste .. Just find a local tutor and sign up for a few lessons to make sure you are going in the right direction with your technique and then try to play with other people as soon as possible. It's the fastest way to feel good about your playing ... Then see if there's a adult education class in your area for whatever type of music you fancy, (we have a blues one and few jazz ones near us) go along and have a look that might do it for you .. +1 on loads of advice on here ... Just ask OG

 18.
Ha ha. Like it. I just made a mental note of where my DFA knob is for future reference.
There was a whole discussion on the effect of the DFA knob on PA's recently. I seem to remember there was rather a lot about guitarists sound and singer's monitors ...
 19.
+1 Good point Old Git but in this case, the guy may have known the room better than us from hearing bands in there regularly, but he didn't know anything about live sound at all which was obvious from his comments.. And as usual, like most bands do I suspect, we worked around it and got on with it so no harm done. Just a bit irritating..
Fair enough .. Occasionally a punter will come up and make a suggestion (and occasionally I do this if I'm an audient) and make a sugestion ... depends on what they say whether I adjust the DFA knob or a real one I also pop down and check for myself .. good ol' wireless eh?
 20. So we have established that about 80% of us dress in black How many wear official Rock and Roll Daps?

 23.
Sorry mate, forgot about this. The cover is grey, not found the frequency yet though.
No worries .. He has a grey one already ... and he didn't really want another when I pushed him Sadly cos it's the same frequency our other guitarist can't use it either .. Wireless if fab and this is an OK way to start off .. If it helps, our bloke's grey cover bug runs on 864.375
