Damn, too many beasties I'd like to get my hands on at the moment but I think this is now top of my targets, I kicked myself repeated for about 2 years for letting Walshys grey one of these get away whilst I procrastinated😔

Also, bad donkey bridge!?! Censorship gone mad🤣

I ended up with both the grey and the pink, I much preferred the look of this one though (obviously!).

Censorship definitely won. Should definitely say Bad A S S  😂

  2. Ok… so, this is a sale born from GAS. Another bass has popped up that I’d very much like to try and my will power is rubbish so this the only bass I have that I could sell (albeit reluctantly)

This is a straight sale, if the bass I want sells then this will be withdrawn.

This was commissioned by @walshy in 17/18 for a Chillies tribute band and is loosely based on Fleas fender, fender then subsequently released their flea range. It sounds immense and looks very cool 😎

Why was the thread title changed?  As this is a yearly event, isn't the year an important part of the title?

Apologies if that sounded aggro - I'm going through bass cold turkey here, it's bound to make a person tetchy sometimes ;)

You need locking in a dark room! 😂

    I will change it for you…. 😃

Yes, it's really weird that this year is busier than the few years immediately before the Big C.

I'm also getting a fair bit of dep work as well. I'm not quite sure why this is happening, but I have gigs with 3 new bands I've not played with this year, plus some Ska dates.

I have by no means gone out of my way to seek these out, they've just fallen in my lap, so I guess quite a lot of bands are busy. Either that or a lot of bass players have given up gigging 🤷‍♂️

That’s great though! Its obviously reputation 😉

We seem to have a lot more parties this year, I guess people catching up from the last 2 years of staying in.  Started taking bookings for 2024 weddings now. 😃

That’s a very, very good answer! You’ve definitely been paying attention!  ❤️🥰 However, my go to choice is:

Chameleon Flip Paint, the rich colour changing paint that alters as light hits it. Just some of my basses.

    +1 on that @Dood

Of course, the simple answer is ‘never’  but this thought genuinely occurred to me this afternoon.

I walked into my study and looked at the main wall of hanging basses:

    Ritter

    Stenback

    Sadowsky NYC

    Sei

    Fodera

    Alleva Coppolo

    63 & 66 Jazz

    21 black paisley Jazz

In other parts of the house there’s:

    64, 78, 87, 93 Precision

    82 JV Precision medium scale

    70, 86, 07 Jazz

    Rickenbacker 4001

    2 more Sei

    McIntyre based Precision

    Warwick Star

    Fender Starcaster

    Ibanez 824

Various other Japanese Squiers, Aria, Fernandes etc

Oh, and a token Fender Strat and a Novation Bass Station

Surely now is the time to stop 🤪

What Sadowsky NYC do you have Barrie? Has the funky Lakky gone now?

Cool. Glad you like it. I knew pretty quickly it wasn’t for me. I prefer the less subtle kind and use the C4/Spectrum/FI for the synthy stuff.

Do you have a spectrum and a c4? Can you not programme the c4 to do a “spectrum”?
