2. Nice collection. nah, four strings. plenty.
3. My band went into the studio about a month ago to record a backing track for this single. http://www.leaderlive.co.uk/news/80381/air...am-factory.aspx. There four students plus the recording engineer doing the thing so had it done in a few hours. last week i had a phone call of our guitarist saying the bass track was unuseable due to it jumping so could i go in and do it again, no problem. i went in and nailed it on the second go, would have done it first time but for but for a wrong chord played by our guitarist which he didn't tell me about, completely threw me. don't know how that got left in. anyway just got a phone call from him again saying sorry but can i go in and do it again as the studio engineer took my piece home on a stick to finish on protools and there was nothing on there. He seems like a nice bloke and talks a good talk so it seems like one of those things. first time i went in i was nervous, second time i was ok. this time i'm going to be telling to get it right.
4. The Guy selling it has a great username.
5. Yeah, i know people who don't like the Beatles.

9.
And I agree - a great/complex bassline is not enough to make a song great. I said it elsewhere: James Jamerson - great player on lousy material!
I agree with most of the stuff you post on here Bilbo. but that's got me scratching my head. could you give me an example of the lousy material?
10.
For sale only, or interested in trades?
I have something in mind, so no trades sorry.
11.
Nut width? Please
With my crappy ruler it's measuring just over 1 and a half inches.
12. I'm reluctant to sell this but it's not getting used gig wise. 70RI CIJ Pbass. Its about nine years has a few dings and the knock or two, I bought this off Clarky earlier this year and he fitted a Badass 2 but the original bridge will be included, its strung with TI flats and they really are lovely to play. no case but it has a Fender gig bag and will be well packed. £350 I can get some pics up if anyone is interested. 13. Welcome, Ah the Fortunes. great band in their time. there's an oldies thread going on in off topic. and there are probably one or two who remember the original band.

15. You say you have only just bought it. what didn't you like about it?
16. I get that now and then my finger doesn't seem to respond, like its just stuck in that position. it's never happened while playing though. i shrug it off and put it down to getting older, doesn't appear to be getting any worse so i don't worry about it.
17. Those were druggy times man. he probably thought he had strings.
18. Are you not into Jazz's? they can be very versatile. great sound too.
19.
Christ I hope he is ok. My old man fell ill about 8 weeks ago. He was 69 and generally indestructable. He died 3 weeks ago tonight and I am still completely numb and in shock. I haven't really been here or anywhere else for the last three weeks. My band has been using a dep as I don't want to leave my wife or 3 kids alone for 1 minute. Im going to try and push on but I really loved the old bastard. Im 41 next week and 3 weeks later can end up in tears at the drop of a hat. sh*t ....
Sorry man. 69 is no great age. my dad is still around at 89, apart from being totally deaf and never sleeps from the tinnitus he's still good. life's a bitch.
20. She's worth hanging onto. looks nice. oh and the PBass of course.
21. Nothing impressive as BurritoBass. a local hotel, small but a good sound. our Keyboard is not well. threw up during the set. he has lost two stone in the last couple of months and is convinced he has cancer, the NHS is so slow so he is paying £400 for a scan. the sad thing is going private means you are using the sane scanner as the NHS but jumping the queue. so pushing other people back.
22.
Norah Jones, guitar and bass player must not have spent more than £100 on kit (including strings) stornaway wtf??? I was in better bands when I was 11,and I MEAN It! but on a more positive note, Jay zee, foo fighters and bless him, Sting, Shi#t hot eh? really good stuff!! edit again due to spelling god Im rubbish!!
I think you would be lucky to pick up one those guitar and basses for a £100. even if they were copies. It was a Harmony Stratatone. £595? http://www.wunjoguitars.com/index.php?sid=1&mid=28
