  1. It may be a general statement, however this isn't a case of using 1 cab with 10" speakers, this has been the case of every cab with 10" I've used to date. Granted I've yet to try the brands you've mentioned as I don't have access to them to try so they could sway my opinion.
  2. I currently actually use a Zoot 1x15 haha, I've messaged Mike today regarding the purple chili 212's so that may be something in the pipeline for the not too distant future. One of my big reasons for changing is because I'm not getting enough clarity/definition out of my single 15. I find 10" speakers when not paired with a bigger speaker to harsh sounding so I'm thinking 12's will probably be the way to go. Additionally, for the vast majority of gig's I'd be using a single cab, it's only for the bigger shows I'd opt for 2. You've all given me a lot to think about
  3. Hello there, I'm changing my cab set up in the not too distant future and wanted your input to configurations. For the last 8 years I've been using a Zoot 1x15 as my main cab, a very nice one but I feel like it's time for a change and it's time to expand my set up. In terms of style I mostly play rock however this ranges from 50's rock and roll to modern prog, I"m also playing functions regularly so need it to be able to suit playing pop as well. I've narrowed it down to either: Two 2x12 cabs 2x12 and 1x15 2x10 and 1x15 I can't go with anything bigger than a 2 speaker cab due to needing to be able to fit a drum kit in my tiny car, also I've played through several 4x10's before and never really been a fan. So what's everyone's thoughts? Pro's/con's of each set up?
  4. The trbx came from a blending of the trb and rbx body shapes
  5. They do look similar however for me I think the Amber has the edge due to the darker colouring
  6. https://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/guitars_basses/el_basses/trbx/index.html So Yamaha announced these today and I for one am sold already, particularly on the Matt Amber version. The question is, how long do we have to wait? ...
  7. Played one of these years ago and remember it being wonderful, and I want a jazz bass... Just got no money :'(
  8. 7 years and counting for my Yamaha bb615 with Aguilar pre and no plans to get rid yet
  9. I have the triumph lite, nice bass that does what I want it to and can't really complain about. However it doesn't 'wow'me in any way.
  10. Pics, price and location on the 2x10?
  11. I'm not sure if this belongs in here or the db section but what stands do people generally use with their eubs on stage? I'm only using it for a handful of songs and currently the only option is to leave it on the floor or pack it down. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  12. What's the location?
  13. Wish I had a spare £1k... Where is it based?
  14. Dayum I wish I had spare money
  15. More, playing starts around 11m
  16. We have more demos!
  17. Is it possible to even move that thing or does the band have to come to you for practice?
  18. According to my local music shop who spoke to Yamaha today we're looking at June time for them to become available.
  19. Does anyone know of somewhere in Manchester or somewhere close that does guitar refinishing? Particularly interested in sparkle finishes. Any idea on how much I'd be looking for something like that?
  20. What are the full dimensions?
  21. Bought a bass synth wah form Ritch, good communicator and posted on the day of payment
  22. I got my TE SMC head serviced for about £36 last year.
  23. Surely they'd only change/discontinue that model if Nathan East left or developed a new signature
  24. Probably just the demos, the two I have already (one stock and one modded) are highly versatile and are both used for prog rock/metal and standard functions so I don't see why these would be any different. I'm definitely want to try them out
