1. As per the title and topic description, anyone know whether these are any good? Fender Volume/Tone Pedal Cheers Alex
2. Innit! Cos playing a few chords and treading on some pedals is sooooo hard, isnt it?! I'm in no way a learned guitar player, but I know many chords, and I know lots of harmonies and I know how to strum. I could get away with it. However, anyone with bad rhythm and bad technique simply will not be able to make a bass sound good! Truckstop
3. Urgh, doesnt bear thinking about, Pete! Truckstop
4. Oh I see! I thought you still had to plug your guitar into the tuner too, so I thought what's the point? But yeah, that clears it up! Truckstop
5. Innit! I have the CS1x. Wicked little synth. Pounding out some proper Dubstep rhythms last night through my GK (bumped up the dirt) and a pair of Torque 4x10's. Put it through my Clone Theory too to get a bit of wobble. Sounded insane! Truckstop
6. Ooh! Well done, you! You sure you can handle the late nights? Truckstop
7. Just bought an EHX Clone Theory off the guy and it couldnt have been dealt with faster. He was very accomadating and even threw in a patch cable and some picks. Very well packaged, with the original box and all the manuals and dietrus that comes with EHX pedals. Cheers! Alex
8. Hello all, I've literally just noticed that my amp has a 'Tuner' input on it. This confuses me because surely you have to go guitar>tuner>amp? How does that work? It's annoying having my tuner taking up space on my pedal board, so it'd be handy to have it on a seperate loop on top of the amp or something if that's how it all works. How would I go about rigging it up? At the moment I have: Guitar->tuner->boost->reverb->amp Cheers Alex
9. Mr. Foxen's selling an 80's Orange all-valve head here fo £850. Looks in great nick and it'll sound demon! Truckstop
10. Agreed, fantastic website! If I hadn't just got snapped up by another band, I'd be emailing you too! Hope you get someone good! Truckstop
11. I just noticed the 'flushers' for the tone controls/pickup volumes! Truckstop
12. How weird. For some reason, I always thought Sheldon Dingwall looked like Leland Sklar. Nevermind. Truckstop
13. Got anything to do with that Mk II for sale? Truckstop edit: for a minute there, I thought you had some sort of custom, ridicu-bass. All silver?! Before I realised it's a black and white photo.
14. A haiku: Hair blows in the wind Wind will always blow Sadly, no more hair I think that's how it goes. Truckstop
15. Jam nights! That'll get you working out new licks and chops in no time! Truckstop
16. Bump for trades! I know the pictures are small, but I don't know how to uplaod them bigger from my blackberry! If you want better (aka, larger) photos, PM me with your email address and I'll get them to you. Cheers Alex
17. One more bump before I head home! Trades with anything remotely classic looking!!!! Truckstop
18. Still a great amp and a saving of around £150-200! Truckstop
19. Do it! GK's are a way of life! I like the way that they actually shape your sound a little and I love it so much that I run mine flat all the time only bumping the middle if I need to in certain venues. You'll not regret it! Truckstop
20. Very well! I shall take some pictures later and put some up. Truckstop
21. Hello all, It used to be fretted, but has been converted to a lined fretless. For some reason, the dot markers have been removed and filled with some kind of epoxy. The fret lines filled in with filler it looks like, but I could be wrong. I bought it from Bassdirect over Xmas (2010) for £700, so I'll be looking for trades around the £600 mark because the bass has surely depreciated since. It has natural mojo and sounds gorgeous. A few knocks around the edges, some buckle rash and a couple of impact cracks in the lacquer on the main body. A real subtle mwah sound and proper bassy! It's ridiculously light for a P. I reckon about 8 pounds. The case weighs more! The '83 Precisions are quite special because they have a completely different neck profile to any other model. For some reason. It's coming with a Fender Tweed case (it's not original, I think I remember hearing Mark say it's about 10 years old) and tags and reciepts to verify it's origin. I'll get some pictures up should anyone be interested. Tradewise I'm after FRETTED American Precisions, but PM me with any suggestions you may have regarding trades. Laklands, G&L's, Sandbergs, Gibsons whatever. Preferably 5er's, but not essential. Worst I can do is send my mate Tony round your house to sort you out for offering me something I'm not interested in. Cheers Alex Pictures up! I don't know how to get them big, but at least I can prove that it exists! Ps - I know it's a Jazz pup cover, I just use it to rest on rather than fit a thumbrest or a tugbar! 22. Yeah man, real nice! Loving the very end. Goes to show how time aware you are. Lovely tone too. Not too middle-y, plenty of bass! Truckstop
