1. did i just have a fail? why are you writing your name at the start of every post?
2. i think it depends what you are doing, gigging now and then in your car then a padded case is good enough but for anything more than that get it flight cased, you cant expect it to get thrown around in the back of a van and not get damaged i use swanflight they are awesome
3. i played in a lot of ''secular'' bands before i started going to a church and i can safely say i have never been as streched forced to improve as a musician than when i started playing worship music!
4.
Just get one 4 ohm cab or two 8 ohm cabs..thats about it Personally, I can see exactly why you would want to spend time thinking about....but please give things a try to see if you like them. Sometimes we get swallowed up in specs and it turns out to be nothing like we expected.
mate its confusing the hell out of me! i just started look out of interest thinking about maiing my rig more ''transportable'' with doing a few tours etc... later on in the year and now im so confused, i really fancy some ocrange cabs to match my amp (and it will look cool!) sounds live is quite local to me and they are selling some ex display ones but not much of a discount! i migh wait to see if any second hand ones show up on here! i know one went recently and i just missed it.

I'm a christian and play most sundays at Guisborough methodist church, we have me on bass, my wife plays 12 string, we have Keyboards, drums, and an assortment of singers. we do mainly Hillsong, Tim Hughes, and all that genre. Love it.
i once went to a wedding there! great church http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEKjjirtbAM...feature=related heres a link to one of our ''touching heaven'' services, its one of the items we did aimed at helping the local community etc... (i happened to put the mash up of songs together) thats me on the bass and my bro on the pots and pans and im pretty sure the fiancee is singing too...
6. the main reason i was asking in the first place is becasue im thinking about etting two smaller cabs to make practices easier and then i have a mamoth for live, just spoke to matamp about a 2x15 which im very interested in. it can be made in either a 4 or 16 ohm version say i was gonna get another cab to go with that what should i do? like something for the top end (i dunno a 2x10)
7. smashing, not actually going to do it, just wondered!
8. it has one 4 ohm and 2 8 ohm outs at the moment i only use the 4 ohm with my 8x10 but for arguments sake say i bought a 115 and it was 8 ohms could i run that at the same time?
9. can i run a 4ohm cab and two 8 ohm cabs at the same time from my ad200? i dont have that amount of cabs, im just wondering? if so what will it do? kill people?

14.
Howdy I'm based in a church in Cambridge - we have yet to find a building to house us permanently, so for the moment we use the auditorium in the Perse Girls school for our Sunday morning service and for the odd rehearsal. Have been playing bass seriously for about three years now...BC has turned me into a right proper gear-head! I've been with my current church for about three-and-a-half years and with the worship team musicians for about two-and-a-half years now. Started out with the Ibanez and a Line 6 Lowdown 110, then graduated to an EBS ProLine 4x10 cab (bought s/h here on BC) and a GK MB500 head. Added another EBS cab (1x15), and another Ibanez bass (a 5 string ATK)....moved on some gear, bought more (a Squier P-Special etc). Get a few looks when I turn up to church with the full stack (it tops out at around 1000w ) HTH, Ian
ha aye i use my ad200 and 8x10 on sunday! i remember the first week i rocked up with it! the sound guy nearly wet himself
15. cool as i play for a church in newcastle called NCLC (kind of linked with hillsong london) good times there has also been talk of playing with ken riley (former y-friday)
16. converge - hellbound sums up the tone of an ad200 for me
17. Just curious after reading the failing of the rapture thread and seeing how many guys say they play at churches which ones they play at and stuff?
18. i thought they played a flawless set at the manchester sound was great, was a big venue but it felt intimate saw mogwai recently at the sage in newcastle, was rubbish, they were tight and everything just looked like they werent enjoying it, going to see this will destroy you soon, wooooo
19. any recomendations/advice for getting a set list together?
20. recently I have been doing the odd bit of session work here and there because i dont get to play that often, it pays pretty good but there is no banter! really want to ask a few mates if they want to start a function band just to get some money comming in and have fun while we do it. think its worth it or will it be more time consuming than its worth?
