1. That's got to be a bargain. But I already have more basses than cash; so, GLWTS

Strange Bass

Welcome Can we ask what you paid for it, was it new, and where you got it?
3. Anyone know what this was when it was young and innocent? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BASSE-FRETLESS-CUSTOMISE-4-CORDES-PREAMP-ACTIF-/371444789298?hash=item567bd5b032
4. Sadly out of my price range They look the absolute mutts though
5. That looks quite a bit like the CMI p-bass I bought from BCer oldslapper (nice guy ). The tort in particular looks very similar. Sadly I had to change the neck (immovable trussrod) and it's now wearing a Collins J-width neck.
6. I like Status Hotwire flats.
7. That's a beast! Way outside my range, sadly. Good luck with your sale
8. Useful (and gobsmacking!) site for weird Italian/Russian/Australian/whatever guitars of the 60s and 70s... Mainly in Italian, but really, just look at the pictures http://www.fetishguitars.com
9. One time at a rehearsal room we got next door's guitars coming through the building mains electrical supply... !
10. My no-name CAR jazz. £80, from BC-er Mr Foxen (IIRC he got it from eBay as a beater/project bass), and still the bass I'm most comfortable on. It's certainly not the most expensive (though nothing I've got cost me more that £400). It doesn't even sound best. It just plays well and feels comfortable.
11. Good question! This is the one which springs to mind: I sit at my table / and wage war on myself It seems like it's all, it's all for nothing (My first thought was actually "Got to be something by Robyn Hitchcock", but evocative of what ?!)
12.
Ah Yes, whatever happened to Reggie Perrier and CJ?
He didn't get where he is today.
13.
He's obviously typed his serial number in, and it's given him the Japanese E-Series information.
I might try that with my NHS number...
14. Zappa.
15. My aunt used to play one in chapel services in Wales.
16. Junky laptop speakers. Probably not doing you justice, really.
17.
Peavey Grind 6ers are ace as well, and cheap as chips used.
There was one up on eBay last week, might still be there. Edit: looks like it's gone. I did find this though... if it's anything like its 4-string cousins, it'll be a monster. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4af0d65c34 There are a couple of Grind sixes up for £319.
18. Quite Westone Quantum-ish in general vibe, then. Nice
19. Tidy I like the hard case, as well.
20. That looks lovely. Good luck with your sale
21. Good for you for doing it, and for putting it out there. It's way above my standard, for sure. I find it a bit cluttered to listen to, personally, but that may be more to do with choice of genre. Hope this helps
22. I liked them both. 'Wake Up And Dream': the short section from about 1:45 to 2:00 seems a little shapeless... ? I think maybe I'd drop an instrument out there? 'Live in a sunny day' is the better of the two, to my ear. I like the 'loose', relaxed feel. Again the transition between sections is a bit indistinct in places.
