Fives are handy for low notes, but the real point of them, to me, is having to move less often. But I'm one of those people who doesn't get on with wide necks, so I'm steadily moving my fives on.

Maybe showing my age, but I'm listening more & more to Radio 3 Late Junction - weird and wonderful stuff

Me too. Plus Radio 6.
This is after a long time with almost no music radio. I hate Radio 1, and a lot of the ex-Radio 1 people on Radio 2. Steve Wright is one of the reasons I quit R1 in the first place.

I don't know much about Vesters except that they had a decent reputation and were removed from the marketplace by Fender somehow - or at least Fender got the blame...

Great basses these. I've got one the same on here too. To be honest I don't know why I'm selling it? Stunning looking, great sounding and wonderful players. GLWTS

Get out there and have some auditions, building confidence won' t happen in the house.

Looks like a Duke to me, with modified pickups/circuitry.

I think so. My Duke has a single humbucker, but I don't know for sure whether there were other configs. That double-switch arrangement does look like a mod though.
