  2. Well this is an interesting development:
  3. I believe phase distortion FM is the linear FM used in the DX7.
  4. @GisserD can make you a compact FI housing.
  5. But also, for synth, the Future Impact is highly recommended (and its editor interface makes more sense from a synthesis point of view). Both pedals cover different duties so it’s not redundant to have both.
  6. No shimmer on C4. It’s not the best interface for learning synthesis. For that, I’d suggest checking here first to familiarise yourself with the concepts: https://learningsynths.ableton.com After that, the interface will make more sense. It’s certainly a great pedal for octave, filter, fuzz, phaser and synth in one.

  8. The cool thing about browsing via the cloud is that you can audition the patches without having to download first. You can then populate the tiles in the manager with ones you like as you go along. Then once you have 99, save as a complete pedal setup on your computer and/or write them to the pedal.
  9. I mainly meant the patches I shared on the cloud (accessible directly via the editor). As for the factory patches, the ones I programmed that have the prefix “MIDI” should have pedal assignments. 86 is a good example - pedal brings in a second oscillator. As for the editor, it depends what you want to do with it. For managing patches, it’s fairly straightforward now. If you want to tweak parameters, that requires a bit of playing around/learning to get the best out of it. Please read the manual I wrote as it does cover everything in detail. Remember, you can always add expression control to any existing patch by modifying it in the editor.
  10. Excellent. Now try using a bunch of my patches; most of them have some interesting stuff programmed to expression. You don’t even need the AB box to make use of the freeze necessarily as any patches that have dry bass will still be audible when freezing, though the level may need adjusting to taste.
  11. If it weren’t for the compound radius I’d have been all over this. (I’m not fond of flat fingerboards.) Looks stunning and sure it sounds the business too.
  12. Oh yes, I remember seeing this at the time. Cool invention.
  13. I’m guessing it only goes to the 12th/13th fret to avoid having to adjust bridge saddle heights.
  14. Oh, I see. It kind of has its own nut built in so it raises the string height at the nut end to have enough clearance. So not something you can just pop in without loosening strings off and retuning.
  15. An interesting concept. Would like to see if this works as presumably it’ll take away some distance from the string height when installed. https://guitarflatter.com

    Liam G

Recently completed a sale with newcomer @Liam G. He placed a lot of trust in me by purchasing a high-ticket pedal from me as his first interaction. I’m delighted to say for both of us that the transaction was as smooth as could be. Pedal arrived safely, buyer and seller both happy. Hopefully the first of many positive Basschat experiences for this chap. Many thanks.
