  1. Yes it can load Spectrum presets. It does everything Spectrum does, with a few qualifications: Spectrum has two functions per control knobs 1 and 2 whereas C4 (currently) only allows one function to be assigned to each. Spectrum has a few things that you can assign to control knobs (such as cutoff 1+2, resonance 1+2 and maybe a couple of other things) which cannot be assigned on C4. This is because C4 has many more parameters than Spectrum and there are only so many slots for what can be assigned. As Spectrum has fewer individual parameters than C4, Source Audio added some combinations and a couple of choices for which there is no room on C4. C4 is a much more capable pedal. However, if you don’t want or need the synth stuff, then Spectrum might be a better choice for you.
  2. It's been a while since I added any patches as I've been really busy with other stuff (getting my head around the MC6 MKII and what it can do). Here's a token 1. It's one I showcased in a chordal clip earlier. I've adapted it here so that it is for single lines only but there are MIDI expression controls for LFO speed(CC3) and filter envelope attack time (CC4). Patch is here on the database: Hesperus (single line) – Future Impact Program Database Here's a (not at all musical) clip: Here is the more musical clip from before:
  3. When is the move? I might be able to make it over between Christmas and new year.
  4. That’s what they were when I last tried one, which was about 8 years ago. There’s nothing about radius on the Sadowsky website. Wish I were closer to Surrey.
  5. I took delivery of this and the very next day found out that Morningstar were about to release the MC8 which has built-in MIDI-over-TRS ports. So I’ve sold my MC6 and ordered the MC8 which means this MIDIBox is now surplus to my requirements. This is in outstanding condition and can be used to control Chase Bliss, Empress and Meris pedals via MIDI. I can probably post out the same working day as receiving payment. This is on eBay too (though for a higher price so get a bargain here).
  6. Anyone following the Future Impact v3 thread will know how awesome I think this bit of kit is and what wonders can be achieved with it, so you might be wondering why on Earth I’m listing it. The simple answer is, I just found out today that Morningstar are about to release an 8-button version that has a bigger screen and built-in TRS MIDI ports, so I’d like to get that before I get much deeper into this more compact version. Mine is in outstanding condition and has only been used at home. I’ve only had it a few weeks. It comes with the original box and USB cable. The MC8 is due on the 16th so ideally I’d want to only move this on when that has arrived (or at least shipped).
  7. I don’t have a board set up so no stress on my part (though I did just order £40 worth of MIDI cables yesterday, some of which now won’t be needed!
  8. Yep and I’m totally getting one (unless they plan to release a 12-button version).
  9. Now that I’ve just got the MC6 MKII up and running and bought a Chase Bliss MIDIBox, I was both miffed and excited to encounter this today: https://www.morningstarfx.com/mc8-midi-controller
  10. Just bought an MC6 MKII and was wondering if they’d make a bigger version. Now they have: https://www.morningstarfx.com/mc8-midi-controller
  11. Is it working now? If using dual expression, you’ll need to make sure you select that option in the “control source”; I’m not sure if you should choose “X” or “Y” (they are the axes for Hot Hand) or whether both work when using a dual expression. Suck it and see, I guess.
  12. Just connect the 3.5mm output from your Dual Expression straight into the “control input” port on the C4 with the supplied 3.5mm TRRS cable and it should work.
  13. Easy to check. TRRS has three black rings on the shaft.
  14. @reesource, so did this fix your issue? Please let us know.
  15. Is the adapter TRRS or TRS? You can get the Source Audio 3.5mm TRRS cables from them. Just email them.
  16. You didn’t answer @GisserD‘s question - are you plugging straight into the C4 using a Source Audio 3.5mm TRRS cable or are you using a standard 6.3mm TRS cable into a Hub first? If you’ve simply stuck a stereo 6.3mm-to-3.5mm adaptor on the end of your cable then it won’t work as the rings and sleeves won’t match the contacts. You might be able to fudge it by pulling the cable out slightly.
  17. Clean off any old v2.2 install files first. See photo for free software to clean up old files:
  18. Nope. Though Future Impact makes the Deep Impact completely redundant anyway. It looks way more user-friendly than the SY-300 though.
