  1. I did miss it this year 😢. It looks like you all had fun and food looks delicious likexalways.
  2. Morning all , Having sold a bass to the US , I was wondering who you guys use to post your bass overseas? The process seem quiet complicated. I'm sure loads of you have done it and I was wondering if you could share the company you have used . All the best Tony
  3. Safran basses are great instruments !!!am this is also an unbelievable price. I see you in totnes . Would love to meet up for a coffee at s9me point . Glwys Tony

  5. Is that fender trying to attempt a new design after 80 years?
  6. Thanks mate and that looks awesome
  7. Same here !! IHave tried alot of fretlesses and I'll list (like Tony ) my top 3 1. Brazilian Kingwood(my current bass Pasini) 2. Diamondwood used mostly on Roscoe . 3.macassar ebony Obviously sounds on electric instruments it's heavy influenced by electronics and very little on fingerboard wood . In my opinion is more about feeling and attack etc but as for sounds electronics plays the biggest part . As for an acoustic instrument( look at dB) most of them have ebony fingerboard
  8. Can't believe this is still here
  9. Great monitors ! I used the a7x for few years and were amazing . Switch to the eve sc207 but still have the a7x .
  10. Oh I actually found it !
  11. Hi guys , anyone know what this bass is ?
  12. Will the nut accommodate e to c ?
  13. Exactly this 👏 . I never said that being a full time musician it's easier than a 9 to 5 jobs . To me it would be definitely more rewarding, even if it means working out if hours or weekend etc. I spend 8 hours a day 9 to 5 wondering what it would be like to actually play music full time instead of sitting in front of a desk in meaningless job
  14. My dream is to get a hands on grace design m103 mic pre for studio purpose. They are the best preamp hands down and I'm sure this one it's a bomb. Would love to have but don't really play lives but if my situation would change that's is what I would be getting . Someone is in for a treat Glwys
  15. Anytime around Devon area ?
  16. So not many people do it as a living as I can see. My dream of becoming a full time musician is crushed by you basschatters 😅. I understand the long hours and hard work which I don't mind( spent 15 years of my 40 in kitchens ).as for earnings I would need around 2k to 2.5k(roughly 30k a year) a month to be comfortable and as I can see its not the easiest. In tge past I used to be a signed musician and have never actually made alot of money from it but cost of living etc was different and had no family commitments, but I have managed to collect alot of stuff to actually open a music studio which is something I had in mind for a bit alongside playing live. Perhaps is time for me to find a different job and then build from thst by playing weekends etc. It's actually really sad that so many of us actually struggle to play bass for a living
  17. Wow that is actually good but totally understand that it's not the easiest thing to do nowadays. I live in South Devon so loads of weddings around this side and I guess I could get couple of gig playing few hotels .
  18. Wow that is actually good but totally understand that it's not the easiest thing to do nowadays.
  19. Thank you for your reply Joe Good question and to be honest either way. I guess the earning scenario is that a new band charges less while the established one will charge more right?
  20. Hey guys , I have reached a point where I'm really unhappy career wise and wish to switch. I was wondering how many of you make a living playing in function bands for weddings parties etc? Any advice ? Does it take a long time to be established ? I'm sure there are loads of bands out there and wwlanted some advices(especially from those who make a living out of it)on what makes you stand out
  21. Yamaha YAS-62 Pro Alto Saxophone £1,250Selling my much loved saxophone due to lack of use and financial commitments. It's a great saxophone for intermediate or general serious saxophonists. Not for beginners. Cosmetic wear & tear, but plays great. More pictures possible upon request, and can be viewed + played.
