3.
That's nice, very nice indeed. I'm a big fan of zero frets (my 'Berg has one) as the concept just makes sense to me. Every time I'm at an exhibition I keep meaning to try a Vigier but always manage not to (not sure how this happens but it's probably down to not wanting to give myself premium price GAS).
Thanks man, The zero fret does make a difference, can't think why they are not more common? LC
4. Haven't had this long but really starting to bond with it. The neck is fabulous, skinny profile front to back and very fast. String spacing is however more Precision than Jazz (my preference). The zero fret helps with sustain and the 2 band EQ pumps out a variety of sounds. The build quality is excellent and I love the trans black finish. It's very 'precise' in that it will show up your (my) fretting inadequacies but it is teaching me to think about my finger positioning. Great for slap (not that I do much of that) and also classic tones. All in all, a lovely bass.
5. Where is?
6. Thanks for the Pm's guys. Nothing has quite taken my fancy yet so this is still available. I am flexible(within reason) on the price if that helps. Cheers LC
7. The string button looks right (as compared to my own genuine 70's P) if a bit new looking. The giveaway has to be the three control knobs?????? WTF.... LC
8. Hi Rhys, Thanks for the post. Looks like an interesting beastie! I do have couple of questions if that's OK? How is it strung at the mo? Are the string locks all intact and functioning as they should? Any case? (probably a long shot), and finally, what's the action like? I could be interested in a swap if the action/neck is quick and easy. Oh, one more question, why are you looking too get rid? Cheers, Gary
9. Up for a mint US Paul Reed Smith. Open to offers guys and ideas for trades.
10. I've been drooling over the 'white tiger' 4 string in Bass Direct which is 4K so this looks to be a bargain!
11. Here's my Franken Fender P fretless. If anyone can tell what make it it is I'll take my hat off.....
12.
Another (sorry) serious one... photograph all your gear, write down the descriptions and all the serial numbers and put it all somewhere safe (www.dropbox.com or a fridge - next best thing to a firesafe). You never know!
Funny, I've just spent the last hour and a half doing just that!
13. Halloween's comin up. Should go in a flash then! Fangtastic bass... LC
14. These Tokai strats were the doggies danglies! Good luck with your sale, LC

Mine has the original unmarked PRS hard case and all the case candy (including the all important build tag). Rosewood fingerboard with moons, dragon II pup's, trem, 5 way pup selector. Wide variety of sounds from classic strat to Gibbo LP. For sale at [s]£925[/s] or near offers please or trade for a 4 or 5 string bass. [s]£850[/s] Now only[s]£795[/s] GRAB A BARGAIN FOLKS! Now only[s] £749[/s] One week only £675 **FINAL PRICE DROP** Thanks for looking, LC
18. I learned on one of these and yours looks like a lovely example! I always found the stock pups to be a little 'polite' so the Wizards should have improved things no end. Good luck with the sale and all good wished to your daughter. LC
19. there are two types of player I think. You can learn songs 'parrot fashion' from TAB or score if you can read, and you'll get quite proficient at that especially in a band situation. There is nothing wrong with that approach. On the other hand, if you really want to get to know your Bass and be able to 'improvise' your own bass lines or turn up for a session to do your own material then doing the theory will really help. In order to do that, first learn the fingerboard, where all the G's etc etc. Modes will really help you learn hand shapes in order for you to get around the fingerboard with ease. Either approach is fine, just depends on what sort of player you want to be. Welcome and good luck! LC
20. Not common these, like Alto flutes! Although having said that one of Peter Gabriel's orchestra members was playing an alto flute on Jools the other night. Good luck with your search. LC
