  1. Lovely pics of a lovely Bass Tom. If anyone is worrying about postage, I can tell you that Tom really does pack 'em up well. Hope your feeling better soon Tom, LC
  2. Hi Notts, I do have pics but cant seem to upload them? Can I e mail them to you? Cheers, Gary
  3. Willing to consider trades also - Markbass 102p for example or a Bass of some description as I need the space.
  4. Bump for an inexpensive mint condition versatile class D rig.
  5. Just sold my lovely '79 Precision to Anth who was a top bloke to deal with all the way through. Glad it's gone to a good home mate. Cheers, Gary
  6. Bump for a minty, versatile and powerful complete gig rig.
  7. Beautiful thing that. Nick (Doctor of the Bass) has one that he swears he'll never sell!
  8. Bought new last April from Nobles in Cardiff for £800 (receipt to prove). Consists of BBT500 class D head and matching 4x10 and 2x10 cabs (both 4 Ohm with adjustable tweeters). 4x10 is on castors. Rehearsed with it for most of last year and 1 gig at Christmas where it was fully PAT tested by a BBC engineer. It's pretty light and transportable and I like the versatility of having two cab options. Using the 2x10 on it's own is enough for small venues but the full rig has huge volume capability. The entire rig is mint as I am very careful about my stuff and the only reason I'm considering selling is I've just inherited some Markbass gear and I'm gonna give that a whirl. Would prefer local pick up or delivery within say 100 miles of Cardiff. Local peeps are most welcome to come and try it out and have a brew. I'll consider sensible offers around the £450 mark which I think is reasonable considering the light use and condition. 9. Interested in this. Should have funds in for my '79 P bass tomorrow evening. Could meet half way in Bristol? Cheers, LC
  10. Thanks. Not selling the Markbass are you?
  11. How many Ohms please? Ta, LC
  12. Can't speak for the Modulus but I did have a $$ a while ago and didn't get on with it. Amazing array of tones, but small bodied (not my pref) and the neck seemed...well rough? If you've got that sort of money to spend, the world is your Lobster really. My Vigier cost about a third less than that and I'm really happy with it.
  13. Proper beautiful that. Good luck with it... LC
  14. Your prices are good dude, just that everyone's a bit skint at the mo I guess. Good luck, it's a cracking rig. LC
  15. Stunning - great write up in BGM too!
  16. Running mine with 2 x 4ohm for the full 500W. Plenty loud enough with 1 at 250w tho.
  17. The covers band I've just had the pleasure of joining are doing: You really got me/Kinks Bad Moon Rising/CCR Hard to Handle/Black Crows Under the Bridge/Chillies Come as you are/ Nirvana The one I love/REM Man on the Moon/REM Paranoid/Sabbath (yes, I know) Smoke on the Water/Purple Fags & Booze/Oasis Local Boy in the Photograph/Stereo's Are you gonna be my Girl/Jet Last Night/Strokes My Generation/Who White Room/Cream Wishing Well/Free
  18. Mark from Bass Direct gave me a set of these when I bought the Vigier (which had Vigier extra lites on at the time). The Cocco's are 45-105 and I am liking the extra tension. They sound pretty good too, even across the board and good definition low down. Anyone else a fan? LC
  19. I use one of these and it sounds great through my Yam 6x10. Don't let the lack of flat or fuzz put you off, I never use these settings. Absolute bargain.
  20. I've just noticed an identical '78 to mine in Cranes, Cardiff for sale. It's a lefty, but has "a fair amount of buckle rash on the back" and "worn control knobs". So not as nice as mine then. The price.......£1699 which has to make mine somewhat of a bargain!
  21. Tuesday morning bump for this super clean and original '79.
