1. ahhh. i may be missing something here then. pretty new to this ohms game. just got an old wt800 with a D410XST. trying to get another cab so i can leaved one at a studio and leave one at home. pretty heavy beast this cab i got and my back will not thank me shifting around too much. also trying to get my head around the inputs from amp to cab etc. like i say, i'm used to newer gear which i just plugged in with no thought. i do have a trace 2x10 which says 8ohm which would be fine for home but currently the eden is connected via some prongy (tech talk) things rather than the jack. there is a jack input in the amp which i was told would cut the power by half or something. any advice from owners or more knowledgable folk would be most appreciated. just don't want to blow the amp. cheers guys (with an embarassed vacant stare
2. looking at sorting a new cab but needs to be 8hm. ideally wanting a 6x10. what are my options and what are the best out there? cheers
3. got a eden WT800A and trying to get my head round ohms etc. kinda got the idea (?) but wanted a simple answer to this wee question before i potentially melt it. can i plug the head into a trace elliot 1028H. it says 8 ohms on the cab so presume that its possible? thanks in advance p
4.
Offers?
hi what sort of stuff would you be looking at in the way of trades for the geb?

6.
Pretty cool song, might have to check out more of their stuff. Sounds like a synth pedal to me, couldn't tell you which one or which settings though. I'd probably do it with an octaver, a LPF (Low Pass Filter) and some mild distortion, might add a phaser in there for good measure.
thanks for that. defo check out more of their stuff. making waves for good reason
7. could someone please check out this video to my mates band and suggest what effect creates that bass sound? he's very hush hush on his setup. cheers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_AMXrMxXyg
8. wowsers! whoever gets this is one lucky basstard!! class amp. if i didn't have one already i'd be biting your hand off for this!
9. So i picked this up cheap and i'm playing around with it. Getting some, well, decent(ish) sounds. Whilst i'm messing around with it i thought 'would'nt it be nice to have some examples of other bass players settings??'. So here we are. Apart from the obvious 'get rid of it jibes' can any of you lovely folk give me some examples of settings? That would be ace. Cheers
10. Well Leeds is full of good venues and decent promoters. A good one is Carpe Diem as it's free entry and right in the centre of town. Get in touch with a promotion group called Under the Radar or Andrei for the At The Crossroads night. Both on alternate Saturdays. No pay but always a decent size crowd and the customary free beer. Onstage sound can be a tad hit or miss but overall a nice place to deal with. And they put on all sorts. Cockpit's a good venue and is mostly sorted through Andy at Futuresound Promotions. They generally require you to sell tickets but it's one of the better venues. Brudenell Social Club is by far the best venue IMHO but getting a gig there can be tricky. Great place to play. they get alot of relatively 'successful' touring bands but its small and has a MASSIVE local community. There's a bunch of other decent venues aswell but it would take an age to list them all with their promoters etc: Milo's - city centre. Don't really put on metal but they love blues, indie, hip hop and punk Smokestack - city centre. Funk, soul, hip hop, experimental HiFi - city centre. Funk, soul, jazz, hip hop These and the usual university rooms and O2 academy (unfortunately i wouldn't know;(). One last thing is a clubnight at The Library venue just outside town in Hyde Park. The night's called 360 and it's run by a chap called Richard Watson. He's the best promoter in Leeds and does loads for 'unsigned' local bands but he may well help out of town bands/artists too. He puts on loads of different styles but they generally sit well together.

16.
Straight sale now as i'm using my Zoom b2.1u for fuzz. Grab a bargain £149 + P&P new Yours for £80 delivered
Please excuse my idiocy but can i not use a general 9V power supply for this?
17. So, I love to hear synth pedals used. Some not so much but as a bass player there's much fun to be had. The only problem that I'm finding is that applying them in general music is difficult. On my own or jamming they sound awesome but including them as a part within a song is a different matter. I'm finding it difficult to use any of those far out sounds but would very much like to. Can people suggest tracks where they sound great? Apart from Prince, P-Funk, JK etc. Is there music out there where a nice synth bassline sits perfectly? Please help and help me extinguish these demons Thanks

19. So, just got a new pedal board through the post and sorting out what goes where. My previous board was somewhat of a ramshackle affair and i want to get it all sorted. Coan someone advise me on what would be the recommended signal chain for my effects?? Rather than listing them all here they should all be in my signature. Your help will be greatly appreciated!! Cheers guys

23. Hi guys, I recently had to leave my band and they're looking for someone to replaced me. I'm helping them out as they're brilliant people to know and work with. If anyone knows of anyone or is indeed interested then this is a great opportunity. The ad they've written is this: "iswimwithsharks are looking for a new bassist, we have parted ways with our original bassist and looking for someone able to fill his awesome shoes. Our music is similar to Local Natives, early Biffy Clyro, Ben Harper, John Butler Trio, our self written tag line is rock smothered aggro pop if that helps at all, easiest to check out our already recorded material at http://www.iswimwithsharks.com and see if you are into it. We have studio time waiting and a professional video ready to be filmed plus a national PR company who has taken us on board. We also have our own private practice space that we can use 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Must be 18-26 Absolutely Committed to being a professional musician Able to practice frequently Creative and Original Easy to be around Must live in the Leeds area Able to sing backing vocals Mine (Luke) and Evans aim in life is to write, record and play music all around the world and we need someone who wants to put in the large amount of work with us to make this a reality, obviously it will be a sh*t load of fun but sometimes you gotta bust your ass to get what you want so don't apply if you don't think thats something you are able to do. Thanks for reading, Luke and Evan 07851 487 782 [email protected]" There you go. Great opportunity, great guys to work with and more potential than you can shake a stick at.
