1. Thanks for the comments guys! Still available.....

3. I bought this back in August last year and it has literally only been out of its case about six times, so it's still in 'as new' condition! This is the mahogany fretless version. These little instruments are immaculately made and most people's jaws drop when they hear the plugged in sound that they make! It has a Shadow pre-amp with built-in tuner, and Hipshot tuning machines. Includes fitted hard case as shown. Shipping to UK Mainland by Fedex would be £10.

5. Stu bought some XLR cables from me - he was a pleasure to deal with! Thanks Stu!
6. Ashley bought my Tech 21 VT Bass pedal. He was really pleasant to deal with - no problems at all. Thanks Ashley!
7. Tech 21 VT Bass (Mk 2 version) Having a clear out of some stuff. I have two of these, and this one is surplus to requirements (definitely keeping one of them though!). Ampeg SVT/Flip Top simulation, and a variety of clean, slightly overdriven, to heavily overdriven sounds available. Great for recording or live use. Input and output are both jacks. Powered by 9V battery or wall wart (not supplied). This is the latest (Mk 2) version that allows you to turn the speaker simulation on/off. Complete with metal carry tin and manual/sound sample guide. In excellent condition. Delivery by Hermes would be £5, but collection in person OK too.

9. Zoom MS-60B MultiStomp Bass Multi FX Pedal Haven't used this for a while and just having a clear out of some stuff. This pedal is like a Swiss Army knife of effects, amp simulations, and tuner in one pedal. Has only been used a few times, so is in superb condition. Shipping by Hermes would be £2.50 - and collection in person is OK too. Photos below. Details, instruction manual, etc. on Zoom web site here: http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/ms-60b Please check out my feedback thread here: http://basschat.co.u...219931-morgano/
10. Yes, my guess would be a location/attachment hole for a CNC machine.
11.
Thanks! So just to clarify, I need a 4A 250V Time Delay fuse?
Yes, that's correct. I also agree with Dad3353's post above. That might explain why it's been OK up to now, and like he says, you need to get the correct fuse and then take it from there.
12. You need a Time Delay fuse (that's what the 'T' stands for). These are also known as 'Anti-surge' or 'Slow Blow'. It could be that the fuse you have in the amp (the 5A one) is a standard or fast blow type, which might explain why it has blown. You shouldn't exceed the 4A rating specified, as although a 5A fuse will work, you are raising the current at which it will blow to higher than the manufacturer specified, so putting the equipment at a higher risk of damage if there is a fault. There's loads on eBay - here's an example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fuse-4A-4-Amps-Time-Delay-Fuses-T4A-Anti-Surge-5-x-20mm-Glass-0239004-x10pcs-ONO-/291332491551?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET& hash=item43d4c5091f Hope this helps!
13. In my opinion I would go for bone. It will be easier to fit (bone is a pleasure to work with), and will sound great. I think graphite treated nuts are good for guitars with trems where the strings need to slide in the nut, but can't really see the point of them on a bass. Make sure you clean out the slot when you remove the old one so that the new one sits flush. A couple of drops of Titebond Original glue will hold it in place. You'll most likely need to lower the string slots in the new nut. A set of nut slotting files will help. I got mine from Stewmac in the States.
14. Have a look at these sites - maybe something here that would do the job: http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/electrical_pothardware.htm http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/BSH/Guitar-Bass-Control-Pot-Adapter-Bushings-2.html http://www.absolutebestguitars.com/servlet/the-25/POT-ADAPTER-BUSHINGS-Convert/Detail http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Adapter-Bushings-brass-Sleeves-convert-SPLIT-shaft-to-SOLID-shaft-pots-4-pack-/291314258246?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item43d3aed146
15. I noticed the Focusrite has 'Line' and 'Inst' switches - these may affect the gain of the XLR input so make sure that the one for the channel you are using is in the 'Inst' position for maximum gain.
16. Cloth wiring itself is generally easier to use than conventional PVC insulated wire, but I would hesitate to recommend that you try soldering any type of wire to pickups unless you have experience of doing so, or are willing to take the risk. The pickup winding wire is very fine and it is easy to break it where the joint to the 'loom' wiring is made.
17. Which one? I can hear distortion in one of them - like a vibraslap after each chord....
18. I believe I might have a problem with a piece of kit, but I would be interested to hear some other musicians' feedback, just to check whether I am going mad or not! Below are three very short WAV files of some chords being strummed, played through my Line 6 HD500X into 3 different powered speakers, all mic'd up with a high quality mic. It's not particularly relevant to the test, but the patch on the HD500X is a Fender Bassman amp sim, with a Tube screamer pedal in front, with no appreciable overdrive being used. The guitar is a Variax, in Strat mode, bridge pickup. I played the same couple of chords through each powered speaker and recorded it. The volume level is moderate. Can anyone hear anything wrong with one of the clips? I know the tone (EQ) is different on each one, that's not a problem, but without giving too much away I am hearing distortion on one of them that I don't think should be there.... Clip 1 https://dl.dropboxus...c/YamahaDPA.wav Clip 2 https://dl.dropboxus...c/MackieDPA.wav Clip 3 https://dl.dropboxus...usic/L2TDPA.wav Thanks for your input!
