  1. I have two fretless basses in my vast instrument collection which I don't have occasion to play that often, and usually just for my own pleasure, but I love them when I do! I own a 1982 Wal Mk1 and a 1989 Pedulla Buzz. Probably two of the finest brands and models of fretless ever made. That'll do me!
  2. Nice. Sounds great on your vid too, really cuts through with a lovely throaty lo-mid growl. Just so you know, those inlays on the neck are aftermarket stickers, but nicely done. There will be dots underneath them.... Always preferred the full inlays myself so looks great!
  3. To be honest, the price of the basses should only matter to someone who is SERIOUSLY considering buying one. It is their call whether to indulge. Otherwise, all the opinions of people who were never gonna buy one anyway, no matter what the price (over £2k knocks most people out) is just noise....
  4. Q4 has an EMG BTS circuit which is nice. As long as the condition is good/neck is straight etc I'd go with the Q4 and then possibly upgrade the EMG Hz pickups to full EMG soapbar P & J pickups to get closer to the classic Spector tone.
  5. Bought a great tuner pedal from Clarky. Great comms and pedal works splendidly. Recommended!

  7. Yep, a Q4 Pro.
  8. Is it bolt on or thru neck? If it's bolt on it's probably a Performer. If it's thru neck then it's either an NS2000/4 or possibly a Legend Classic.
  9. Tbh, I think the powers that be are getting him to save all his energy for Sunday at Hyde Park.....so last night was pulled to get him as much chance as possible of being ready. Sunday, of course, being the last ever live show...
  10. Thanks mate, appreciate it. Ideally you want somewhere with e.g. 3 rooms as lots of bassists all in one cavernous room playing over each other is a recipe for disaster....
  11. Sadly, due to venue issues and personal stuff it's looking very unlikely for this year
  12. Bought a great EHX Bass Soul Food pedal from Joe. Fair price, fast delivery and great comms. Recommended!
  13. Sold a preamp to Craig. Fast payment and great comms. Recommended new Basschat buyer!
  14. Another great purchase from Chris! This time a set of EMG J pickups. Received super quickly Recommended!
  15. Still some Slade left to pilfer....
  16. I didn't know they even had one?! "Freebird!"
  17. Seems this is coming in at under £1000. At that price, could be a solid seller after all?
  18. You can imagine that same conversation in my house every time a new Spector arrives! 🤣 I've built up my 'goodwill' though by selling my Wal 18 months ago and using the proceeds to pay for an amazing 2 week all expenses paid trip to USA for My Wife, Son & I (Vegas, Grand Canyon, Mustang Convertible drive to San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Monterrey via Yosemite etc) last year
  19. Ah, Harry White.... 💜😎
  20. Still relevant.... 😉🤣
  21. No, just an old Kay.... 🙄
  22. I don't recall getting your text...and I'm not a guitarist.... Oh, hold on...
  23. Here we have a fantastic Glockenlang preamp, comprising Volume, Treble and Bass controls. Pull passive tone circuit activated from Push/Pull vol control. This was removed by my tech from another bass I got in a trade. If you use a twin pickup bass you will just need to obtain a suitable balance pot. The details: GLOCKENKLANG 2-band onboard preamp Active/passive switchable (at the volume push/pull) Treble-pot with +/- 18 dB@18 KHz in active mode, acting as classical high cut in passive mode Bass-pot with +/- 14 dB@40 Hz. Input-impedance (without Balance): 1,5 MOhm Frequency range: 20 Hz -20 KHz Power requirement: 9 volts/1,3 mA Min. installation depth: 28 mm (1.1″) Due to the high performance electronics, in flat position of the eq you can hear no difference between active and passive mode! SOLD inc postage. Paypal (you pay fees) or bank transfer both fine. Please see my extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a simple, honest transaction.
