The bass gallery is the best place I've been when it comes to service and choice in London. They sorted out my 'road worn' bass when it needed a setup etc and it sounds great now. Not the cheapest, but you know if you have any queries, they will sort you out I don't think you should have paid a 'fee' for the bass.. it's their screw up not yours.. but nevermind. ok last question. I have two a 2x10 600w@8ohm and a 1x15 400w@8ohm The amp is switchable 500w @ 4 or 8ohms When I'm using the 2x10. I should keep it at 8ohms. but when I using a both the amp should be at 4ohms.. right?

The orange is tubey, the MB LM is warm so the next step would be more towards the HI-FI... The Ibanez is more Hi-Fi. the mark tube sounds like bad mix of MB trying to sound like an orange... ;-( It's a shame SWR, EDEN or EBS don't do a micro amp.. I think that would open up the other end of the amp spectrum. I've played the Redhead combo and it's great.. a mirco redhead would be awesome

The top one isn't a combo, but this would do the trick and does sound great, not too heavy. The others are combo. There are lots that come to mind 2nd hand or new (2nd hand you get a higher spec amp)

I think it depends.. just getting an idea down = Plug straight in (DI). If you're recording something with a bit of something = If you have sansamp, those work great into logic IF you have time and are looking experiment = Use a 2 or more recording input for bass. Mic the Bass cab and DI striaght and or sansamp or something like it. Also the sanamps are great for life work. You can go into the type of mic and positioning as well (and multiple mics), but it's all a personal taste thing and I thing sometimes find, it doesn't make that much difference for a home studio. I personally find most plug-ins sound very 'aritfulal'. I might use a plug in after I've recorded, but not usually during recording. Also if you have a nice bass DI might be the best route...

I bought a 2nd hand roadworn tried it, as it sounded good, but needed a bit of setting up, but then took it to the bass gallery just to tweek etc it and it's sounds great. But if you buy it from a shop that should do that.??? .three words TAKE IT BACK

For me music, it's just who I am.. I feel wired if I don't play.. in terms of gigs. Most of my highlights where I really enjoyed myself wasn't the flash recordings/sessions or tours, which were fun, but the silly little covers bands with friends, where we played most of the time wanted we wanted to play and we really enjoyed each other as friends and musicians in our own right. I play in one band were we're all bassist (not all for this gig) and there's never any competition only engagement and a true sense of appreciation..

Right, I have the Terror and it sounds great, thanks to andyonbass. I have to wait a whole 10days to give it a good run in :-( , but you gotta go on hols sometime ;-) Just ordered a 40db inline attenuator as the DI is HOT as HELL. It's coming tomorrow
