1. On a related note - way back in the 90s Guitarist magazine (I think) had an article of Graham with lots of lovely, almost full page pictures of his guitars and basses. Does anyone know which magazine this was in as I had a copy at the time and would love to lay my hands on another copy - mostly to drool over! Andy
2. Hi Folks, My mass tidy of the office/workshop/house keeps unearthing oddments. For some reason I have two ibanez machineheads, both lefts (I think the bass came in with only two heads and a complete replacement set were fitted.) They are marked on the front : Ibanez, Velve Tune B II Andy on the back : Japan L They were removed from a late 70s Ibanez Musician Fretless and both seem fairly smooth with no damage other than a few scratches and string damage as expected at their age. Both are complete with the nut and washer needed to fit them but not the 2 screws needed. These would probably just lie in my spares box as I'm more a Fender fan so I'm offering them for free - though a donation to cover postage would be welcome! Thanks Andy
3. She who must be obeyed is insisting I clear out anything I don't see me using. Keep falling over this in the back bedroom! Pro quality flightcase which would be suitable for stands or for lighting equipment. * Weight : approx 16kg * External dimensions (cm) - 120 l x 34 w x 29h * Internal Dimension (cm) - 116 l x 29.5 w x 18 h (base) / 7h (lid) The case is made from hexaboard (plywood with a plastic coating) with solid aluminium extrusions and steel ball corners. Fitted with a piano hinge along the back with 3 stays and large butterfly catches on the front. There are proper flightcase handles (marked Penn Fabrication) on the ends. There are some marks on the metal work and some very light surface rust on the catches. Internally, there was originally compartments along the front edge of the case and spliting the main space in two but these have been removed - the divider pictured is included but is not attached to the case anymore. The foam inside the lid of the case is in very good condition but the foam in the base and sides has gaps where the dividers were and the foam is missing on the end panels. Looking for £45 for it (new they are about £140 +) plus post (about £14.00) or can be collected in Edinburgh. I had this on ebay and it didn't sell. Let me know if you're interested or want to know more. Andy

8. I've found these in my spares box and I don't see me ever using them. 4 Bass machine heads in chrome, no markings on the casings, all identical (not two pairs).Nuts and Washers are there but the screws are missing. There are a few marks from storage but I believe these are new. They look to be identical to Allparts Economy heads : Allparts UK The box pictured is the one they were supplied to me in but I suspect the box and the heads aren't related? No idea what they fit so make me an offer! Thanks Andy

12. There's a little information here : Burns Guitar Museum and a restoration with lots of info here : Burns Flyte Andy
13. Thanks 99ster, That's what I suspected but wasn't sure. Now to find one and try it. Thanks Andy
14. Hi Folks, Fairly simple question. What is the difference (if any) between the bridge cover for a 51 precision and the bridge cover for a 70s Telecaster bass? I'm looking at the tapered one rather than the curved one (like the one here : Allparts) to fit my squier telecaster bass. Thanks Andy
15.
You lucky bar-steward! I wanted that Squier VM, but I'm insanely broke at the minute Did you take it with the extra bits i.e tuners/bridge/pickup or just take it as stock? Either way was a bargain. I'd love one of those Squier Musicmasters too, the bassist from Bedouin Soundclash used one when I saw them at the QMU in Glasgow last year, it sounded pretty nice.
I got it with the Schaller tuners fitted but otherwise stock. I'll probably change the bridge out at somepoint but I'll play it for a while and see wether I need to. The musicmaster was a great one to play - I bought it as I need a bass for a gig in a hurry way back in 98 and £99 (new!) seemed too good a deal to pass up! I've never seen one come up secondhand which suggests that others think the same way - I only got rid of it because I had too many guitars at the time and it was the least used. Andy
16. I use a mixture of cases - All of my acoustics are in Hiscox cases. I like these and they seem pretty indestructible. My Les Paul lives in a TKL case but I've found that it scratches badly and the stitching seems vulnerable. My Telecaster and my Squier VM Precision live in Coffin Cases. How good they are for protection I don't know as I haven't really gigged them yet but for looks they are great! Website is here : Coffin Cases I also have a fibreglass case for my mandolin but it seems to ding and scratch badly as well. Andy
17. Does it class as p0rn? It's certainly good looking! Having sold my Washburn Bantam fretless months ago I was bass-less until I spotted this one being sold by Andy67. A very quick deal and she's now mine. I also have a love for the coffin cases (Coffin Case Company - probably not safe for work!) - having bought one of the first in the country for my telecaster copy I fancied a bass one - a quick trip into town today to get one! Also some of my earlier (and now sold on) basses in reverse order : 1984 Washburn Bantam Fretless - 1990s Squier Musicmaster - 1990s Peavey Milestone 1 (don't hav a photo of mine but looks like this!) Andy
18. I'll add my appreciation too! Bought a Squier VM precision from him on saturday - excellent guy to deal with. Andy
19.
sorry Dan andy
Bass now collected and paid for. One happy new owner! Andy
20. I had a couple of the Yamaha BBT210s cabs for sale up here a few weeks back and got no interest either! Seems to be nobody wants them. I've put mine up on ebay but no bites yet. Andy
21. Available again - no interest on ebay! Looking for £185 + delivery (@£15) Andy
22. Now on ebay : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:IT&ih=006 Andy
