Over the years we've had all sorts of threads containing wisdom about what you should or shouldn't do, even to the point of the now famous walking out of a gig before it started if there was a music stand on show!
Other than last night's gig not being for nowt I think I've done a pretty good job of breaking the bass chat laws
All of these things and many I will have missed have been mentioned on here in the past, BTW this is just tongue in cheek fun, I still think the important bit is actually gigging even if it's got all these terrible things going on as listed below
Class D bass amp.
Neo loaded cab.
Set up under the TV.
Music stand hidden behind far PA speaker with tablet on it.
Digital PA.
Class D PA speakers.
Non wooden PA speaker boxes.
No Subs.
Bass, Kick Drum and Guitar in the PA.
DI bass pre EQ rather than 3 mics and a blend to get "my sound" out front.
Ipad on a grab on the singers stand.
PAT Tested gear.
Spare bass.
Active basses.
5 string basses.
Marshall guitar amp and Les Paul gold top.
Public Liability Insurance taken out.
Playing covers.
Matching black clothes, blue ties for the guys, blue shoes for lady singer.
We played brown eyed girl and Daydream believer.
