1.
Actually a passive version would be just as good... do they do one of those? The signals are coming from a small mixer so no real need to amplify anything. ped
I don't think so. I think you'd need a powered unit to have independant control over 4 channels anyway. I could be wrong though!

4. Still available...
5. Customer service at PMT is non-existant in my experience. They are complete tw@ts, IMO of course.
6. All PM's replied to. Thanks.
7. Here we have the 700RB-II head in mint condition and NEO112 cab in near-mint condition (just a few very light scuffs). For info and specs check out the Gallien Krueger website www.gallien-krueger.com The head comes with rack ears and the proper GK padded gig bag which gives excellent protection. The cab comes with the GK speakon cable for bi-amping and protective cover. £340 for the head + gig bag etc. £220 for the cab + cover etc. £550 for the whole rig. This is an awesome sounding, lightweight, compact setup that has been well looked after. Any questions welcome. Cheers, Ray
8. One of the most beautiful basses I've seen. Stunning mate, absolutely stunning.
9. Two blinding gigs this weekend. Friday night at Cargo in Shoreditch - great club, plenty of punters (although not packed). Sound onstage was not great but it was still a great show for everyone. It was the first outing for my Aguilar 1x12 but I could hear more bass from the drum fill than my cab! Saturday we set out for Birmingham to play The Yardbird. We took to the stage at 10:30 and played the best show we've ever done. There were a few fluffs but the vibe was so good it didn't matter. The stage sound was excellent (the 1x12 is amazing!), the place was packed to the rafters with everyone dancing. The Yardbird is by far my favorite place to play at the moment. Can't wait to go back. A top weekend all round!
10. Bought my USA fretless Jazz. Great guy to deal with. 100% reliable.
11. I bought Clarky's Aguilar GS112NT cab from him. Great condition, exactly as described. Very fast delivery. Great bloke to deal with. Highly recommended.
12.
Ive tried a fair few Rotos in my time and I dont like any of them, I have Elixers on my fretted and I LOVE them to bits, I wouldnt have anything but elixers now on a fretted bass.. BUT I need some strings for a fretless, Although I love elixers im pretty sure they dont do flats, and im pretty sure the rounds would cut into my new fretboard pretty fast, I really dont like the sound Rotos gave my Fretless J, Pretty much tried all the roto flats, think the last set were the "swing" or "jazz" I found it was very dull and really not what I wanted out of it, althou these new strings are going on my Fretless P. Could someone recomend some strings that are going to be really bright, but also not wreck my fingers or fretboard.
I had D'Addario Chrome flats on my fretless Jazz (which I just sold ). I tried Roto flats and didn't like them much. The chromes are much nicer IMO.
13. Ha! I was relegated to playing the cowbell on one track on our new LP because our Hammond player wanted to play pedal bass on it. He did ask very nicely though and I have to say it sounds great! I've actually been listening to a lot of records with organ bass lately - old Prestige and Blue Note Hammondy stuff. Very nice.....

20. I had a Corvette Proline 5 and the neck on that was well chunky. I also tried a 4 string Proline with a pretty fat neck.

22.
I just picked up one of these off Amazon:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/b/ref=amb_link_555...rd_i=B000MLPGZG A chap brought one along to a party on New Years Eve, and me and my mates spent all evening trying to get over 10,000 revs. It's basically a hand-held gyroscope. It's pretty addictive and is damn good exercise for your hands, fingers and forearm muscles. It's reckoned to be good for musicians. Our drummer is dying to get one after trying mine-he 's just got the go-ahead to go back to drumming after coming off his motorbike in January and seriously knackering his left forearm, and I told him to get one as it would be great exercise for his forearm tendons-now he's tried it he agrees. Anyone else got one? Have you found it good for your playing?
Last year I had RSI in my right wrist (from using a computer mouse). The pain was constant and quite severe which made bass playing very difficult. I got myself a Powerball, used it daily and after about a week the pain had almost gone. After a couple of weeks it had gone completely. I can't recommend Powerballs highly enough. My highest RPM is 9404. Anyone beat that?
