1. Ok, it's done. Got the string tree on and some Wenge knobs to match the neck:
2.
Looks sweet, bet it was expensive!
Thanks. Including VAT, duty etc the neck and body would have cost me ~£480. I bought it with lots of other Warmoth guitar parts so I can't be more precise.
3.
Very nice! Love the wood combination. I fitted one of these to my Warmoth to keep the battery secure: http://www.dayga.co...._Battery_Holder Careful where you click as they also sell a lot of PVC erm, clothing! It can be difficult to track those down as "9v battery clip" searches result in the clip connectors and "9v battery holder" searches result in the plastic battery boxes. I may have some knobs if you're interested? Obviously don't look for them on that site i linked to.....
That clip might be a good shout. I currently have one of those plastic clips, but that looks like a more elegant solution. Did it hold a battery fairly securely? Not sure what knobs I'm going to have yet, but might be interested - what have you got?
4. Oh, and some knobs. ;-)
5. It needs a string tree, a way to secure the battery in the control cavity and the fret and fingerboard ends rounding over for that worn-in feel. It sounds great though, reminiscent of my old 87 Warwick Streamer, which is a (nice) surprise considering the huge difference in construction (bolt on vs set neck etc, body and neck woods etc.)
6. It lives at last, still got lots of tweaking to do but it's making noise. It's a Dinky Jazz body, one-piece walnut back with a figured walnut top. The neck is wenge on wenge, MOP dots and stainless frets.
7.
No guitar love bump????
That's really nice - I used to lust after those in the 90's. Probably a good job you're not a bit closer to me or I could be tempted.

9. With box, breakout cable and all supplied CD's (although you'll want to use the current drivers on the M-Audio website). £30 shipped to UK mainland, £28 collected from West Oxfordshire. My usual haunts include Hants, Bucks and occasionally Cornwall so meeting is a possibility.
10. Any chance of answering my question about the frets?
11. What size frets, and are they nickel or stainless? Cheers
12.
I'll photo them tomorrow and post if you like, aside from that no scratches at all Andrew
Yes please.
13. I'd love to see that Hamer, but you're at the wrong end of the country sadly.
14. Now on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1972-Traynor-YGM-3-G...r-/250832203902
15.
How many watts is it??
20 watts. It's very loud.
16. If it doesn't happen with Lozz for whatever reason, I'll have it.
