  1. Spare parts arrived today, with full and clear step-by-step replacement instructions, cleaning wipes, stickers, screen protector, along with the new screen. Although a little fiddly, it's now back to new. Peterson tuners went above and beyond.
  2. A temp solution is to export a Moises mix to MP3 and play on a different device.
  3. Last Friday’s gig took an unexpected turn when a drunk came on stage between sets—someone none of the band knew. I later found out that he had almost certainly stepped on my Peterson pedal tuner, cracking the plastic screen. Thankfully, the LCD beneath wasn’t damaged. I reached out to Peterson’s customer service, and they were excellent—sending me a replacement screen free of charge. It’s a reminder that for every bad experience, there’s often a good one right around the corner. Peterson gear may be pricier, but their quality and customer service make it worth every penny.
  4. On some pedals, take the base plate off and flip it over before screwing back on. This has worked for me on some pedals.
  5. Hand-built Bright Onion A/B Selector pedal. (either A or B in, one output PLUS one tuner output which has signal when mute is engaged) This was custom ordered with mute/tuner output. Velcro to bottom, some slight marks. No box. Original schematic / design in photos too. £30 inc postage UK (2nd class) or + £5 if tracking required.
  6. WAS £85 REDUCED TO £70 Postage £5 tracked (UK) MXR Brown Acid Fuzz Pedal. Couple of slight marks and Dual lock fitted to baseplate. Complete with original box, instructions etc. Power supply not included. See what this great pedal can do via this demo vid
  7. As a previous owner of a Quilter bass block, and now mesa user, I can't help but think that they've missed a few possibilities here - such as a variable HPF, 2 ohm output option, more mid control (e.g. high and low mids - or two paras). Everything at a cost, of course, and one persons opinion will be different to the next. An interesting amp, with some unique features. However, at the price point, it's a cluttered market place; could they have been braver?
  8. Dunlops sold, Fender set still available
  9. All NOS - gig bag creases to packaging only. All new and sealed. £70 for all four sets below, or priced individually. 5 string Dunlop Super Bright 40 - 120 Steel £22 each (two sets available) (40 60 80 100 120) SOLD 5 string Dunlop Super Bright 40 - 120 nickel £22 (40 60 80 100 120) SOLD Fender nickel super 4-string set 7250 45-105 £12 (45 65 85 105) All posted 2nd class UK only please.
  10. Come on then, let's be having your restringing in the garden pics.... Inc balconies etc etc!
  11. I put 3 - but as others, I can arrange / split / combine in various combinations. Mesa WD800 Head Mesa 210 Subway Cabs (x 2) GR 110 Carbon Cabs (x 2) GK Legacy 115 Combo Laney R500H head - mainly home use as no fan.
  12. Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for these - I've got quite a playlist now, with some useful and interesting additions from here too. Great stuff indeed!
  13. What a lovely selection everyone - great stuff. Been listening to some fab music today because of this thread!
  14. Thanks for these - all great stuff! Any more?
  15. Revised or revisited are probably better terms that I could have used rather than cover
  16. Hi All, I am collating a list of pop songs the have had contrasting versions recorded by the same artist (e.g. same band or artist, recording the same song but with a different genre / approach). An example is below - My Guy, Mary Wells, Motown + Funk versions. I'd appreciate any other suitable examples - thanks!
  17. "it's perfect" and a big smile was deployed... Safe to say that she's one happy girl. She loves the colour too ... Thankfully! 😂
  18. After a long wait, it's FINALLY here! It awaits her coming home from school!
  19. Stingray Special 5 H. I've been after one of these for quite some time, and have been hiding away a few pounds each week in readiness... When this 2018 one came up recently on FB, I took the plunge. Really like the dropped copper colour and (not original) antique perliod scratchplate. I have been tweaking a few things today to get her set to how I would like. I will take her to a gig on Saturday and she can have a run-out on a few numbers.
  20. Looks great and great value, and fun making too! - Well done. Mud Stand do one, but price + shipping is far too expensive for UK. https://www.mudstand.com/mini-mud-stand I do wonder if you could do a wooden one that might slots together in a similar manner, to help portability.
  21. May I ask what the weight is please?
  22. This is my take on what I'd order if funds permitted.... All black, Ebony board. Gold pole pieces. It's a shame they don't offer wood suggestions for the body etc, or a least some weight parameters etc.
  23. A huge thanks for all those providing suggestions and taking the time to post links etc. It reminds me why I joined the forum way back in 2007; it's such a helpful and friendly community. For those interested, I've gone ahead and placed an order for one of these Ibanez models https://www.ibanez.com/usa/products/detail/gsrm20_2y_06.html. Although it will take a couple of months to arrive I am sure she will absolutely love it! Whilst not available in first choice colour pink, purple has been confirmed as being a "second best colour" - so all good there! The plan will be to see how she does, then move onto a full-size body / weight / scale length version in a few years time; much like I did when I started the double bass around the same age. I will update again once it's arrived and I've set it up. Thanks again, Greg
  24. I think 38mm would suit hand stretch much better
