1. Bloodshot Dawn cranked out one of my albums of last year -- kinda melodic death metal with an extra helping of death. No clean singing, lots of blistering blastbeats and razor-sharp riffage. Saor do some wonderfully atmospheric folky black metal, but without the ridiculous cheese that usually comes with that. Thunderous guest drummer on that album too. Miroist is instrumental prog/djent, if you liked the first couple of Cloudkicker releases you should check this out.
2. Just taken in a new arrival which has a Wilkinson bridge, but none of my Allen keys fit the bridge saddle adjusters -- 1.5mm is too small, 2mm is too large. I'm guessing this might require an imperial sized allen key -- does anyone know offhand what the size I'm looking for is likely to be? I imagine it's something daft like 2/16", but if anyone can tell me before I have to buy a load of different keys and try them individually that would be great
3. How about £100 + postage?
4. - What are the preamp controls? - What's the scale length? Thanks
5. I have had a Realist die on me in the past -- IIRC the constant pressure from the bridge foot can break the piezo elements. I don't recall what noises it made while on the way out though, sorry...
6. Midweek bump. Hit me with offers
7. An ideal late mother's day present!
8. Definitely no postage?
9. Bump-o-rama. The effects on this are much more flexible than the Boss floor units of similar vintage.
10. - Does that price include shipping? - Are you interested in any trades?
11. Bump. £170/offers invited/try me on trades for WHY
12. I can suggest some possible uses for you if it would help?
13.
Weight ?
2.8kg according to our scales.
For info: here's the amp's old webpage from the BK Electronics site, courtesy of the Internet Archive Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.o...assD/ClassD.htm I always thought these modules looked great! Good luck with the sale!
Thanks!
14. Not 100% sure if I want to do this or not, but I'm considering Letting go of my double bass as it's simply not getting played enough, and my lifestyle isn't showing any signs of having more time to devote to it. This is a fully carved 4/4 5 string made by Kremona in Bulgaria for Bob Gollihur (pleasingly, that page has hardly changed in 10+ years). If I recall correctly, I ordered it in 2005 and received it in 2006. The finish is dark gloss. It's big -- scale length is around 42", and the low B is thunderous. Some small scratches but no physical issues. Strings are stock, which I believe are Helicore Orchestrals. It was set up by the Violin Shop in Glasgow when I received it, and they fitted a new bridge with adjusters about five years ago. Comes with a good quality case and stand, and I have a French bow and a Revolution Solo (2?) pickup that I will include. Gollihur no longer sell this model, but when I last looked the list price for this bass was $3700 + shipping . Given the additional work and accessories, I think a price around £2500 £2000 seems reasonable. I'd also consider PXes for EUBs, 5+ string bass guitars, maybe 7+ string guitars. Based in Glasgow near the south end of the Clyde Tunnel -- you're welcome to come have a try. I make a pretty good cup of coffee.
15. Some interest but still available. Bump!
16. Yep, it's got some nice studio effects as well as the guitar/bass driven stuff. The programmable multi-tap delay is a personal highlight.
