thisnameistaken
That's a good act, I approve. I've seen a lot of wannabe- quirky folk acts lately and most of them aren't very good.

xilddx
Funny innit, I post a video of a bassist who plays in perfect time, supports the rest of the band melodically, rhythmically and harmonically, plays some lovely ska folk with great tone and great panache, and even looks good on stage, and other bassists don't get it. Funny innit.

Pete Academy
Not something I'd usually listen to, but the bassist is holding it together really well. Some clever stuff in there.
JTUK
My opinion is that he is doing what is expected, nothing more, nothing less, trying to jazz up an end-of-set jam. If I was at the party and had had a few beers, I might have enjoyed them as well, but not something I'd post as a bench-march of anything, personally. The P-bass tone is all you'd expect in this context and it shows its forte and limitations at the same time, IMO.
Bassassin
What a great live band - loved it. Makes me want to go & form a ska band. Jon.

Johngh
To be fair the bass player is really very good. I wish someone would take the microphone off the singer playing the acoustic guitar though, god it's painful. What's that bird in the black dress and hat doing.
