Anyone used the Flight Case Company? http://www.theflightcasecompany.com/

I contacted them late last month about getting a case for my Fender Bassman head. They had one on offer & they replied immediately to say they would be holding their prices for the next 10 days. So I paid via Paypal & ordered on 31st, well within the ten days. Listed as in stock, ready for despatch. Not in a massive hurry although obviously it's nice to get things fairly swiftly.

Thursday evening I logged into my account to discover my order was "awaiting payment". I wasn't too impressed with that so I contacted them quoting my paypal transaction number and querying the order. They'd left it for 5 days. To their credit the status was quickly amended to "awaiting forfillment" and I had a reply to say they never got the standard email from Paypal (a bit suspicious about that one but at least it's been amended). I was told I'd probably be looking at the first half of next week.

I see today my status remains unchanged and I have also noticed they had actually put the price up by £10 - I thought it didn't look right - which went against what I was promised. Very sneaky. It's not been 2wks yet but for a custom order that was in stock and ready to go I have to say they are not impressing me too much so far.

Any thoughts or experiences? Should I query the £10 price hike. That does seem a bit naughty.

If they sold you the product and took your money, the deal is done, if they can't deliver promptly tough sh*te on them!!

I'm sure they still have the right of refusal to sell or something but there's no way I'd pay the extra £10, you've acted in total good faith.

Hiya mate, in their defence I had a similar situation with an eBay purchase for which neither I or the seller received the confirmation email, despite the fact that the transaction was on my account from the original date. In my case the seller was both extremely apologetic to me and really angry with Paypal (or, let's face it, eBay), as she told me that their business status is increasingly compromised by poor feedback (the new five-point system), and that increasingly it's such Paypal/eBay errors that cause the problems in the first place. I guess businesses can't be expected to check their Paypal account every five minutes, so a failure of the email notification can cause real problems; my initial instinct was that she was BS-ing me, then I checked and found I'd not received the mail either.

Chris - I'm happy to give them benefit of the doubt re the email, it's no doubt an automated system & accidents happen. The price hike was cheeky. None of it is terrible but when you put it all together it doesn't paint a good picture.

Nobody seems to answer the phones but I have queried the £10 via email so watch this space. Either they sort this out today or I'll go for a refund... in which case Phil, I'll be in touch.

I've used them many times over the years (not a custom order though) and had no problems, I order something yesterday via ebay and it's coming today
Ditto. I bought a B stock leads case off them last year with no probs - there is a snag on one of the edge metals pieces that I should really file down before it rips my legs to shreds, but it is small & hasn't yet so I keep putting it off

UPDATE - Having had my emails ignored, I raised it as a partial refund dispute for the £10 through Paypal. The thing was resolved in my favour within 37mins. All a bit silly really as the company could have just done what they said in the first place instead of making me jump through hoops. It's the old adage; good customer service means you tell your friends, poor service means you tell EVERYBODY!

Still reslved now, I have a great flight case and at the price they originally quoted me.

I thought I might have used them in the past but when I checked my records it was actually the similarly named 'flight case warehouse' :

I had a custom built case from them and both product and service were excellent.
