Hi Folks

My '73 Fender Telecaster Bass, I have decided to sell. (see attached photos) To finance a Bass rig purchase.

I bought this Bass in '83 for its deep tone (Humbucker on neck), as I am a Reggae Bassman.
When I bought it, it had a white scratchplate. I replaced it with a black one which really suits it. Apart from that it is all origenal. A solid no-nonsense Bass in perfect working order.

A rare item indeed.

£1400
That is lovely! I can't see it hanging around long. I'm half tempted myself but must resist! Is that strung with black nylons or are they just the original strings? :)
Yep, Rotosound Tru Bass Black Nylon Flatwounds. So frets are in A1 condition.

Which profile neck is it?
I had one the same back then with a neck that matched my '72 P-bass.
Seen others with deep C clubby profiles.

Man, I miss it... brand new condition with white plate.
An Edinburgh shop called and said a guy forom Switzerland was depsatate for one, so I allowed it to be owned in a Tokai tweed case for £375. I had paid £325, so I let it go.
Sob.

I had a Lynyrd Skynyrd tape when I was 5 n I played it over n over till it died. Still got the worn out bit o card from inside n its got a picture of Leon Wilkeson recording with one o these, always remember it. If I were to get a tele bass, would have to get the humbucker version. Do you play it wearing a top hat?
