Heads up for Steely Dan Fans

Amongst may other fine gifts, my lovely missus bought me a copy of a Steely Dan DVD I must admit I didn't know existed. It's called Two Against Nature and it's absolutely brilliant - a must have for any Steely Dan nut.

I thought I'd just post a heads up in case there are others who are thick and ignorant like me.

Although I don't own this DVD, I came back from university with it left in my laptop. It's a cracking DVD with the bad in very tight form and all the tunes are brilliant. Plenty of classics like Josie and Pretzel Logic, while the newer stuff is particuarly good. I loved Jack of Speed, What A Shame About Me and Cousin Dupree.

Any excuse to talk about the Dan is good with me! Now just need to get Pete Academy's Nearly Dan DVD and I'll be happy

Nice one! there is a great version of Kid Charm (cant spell the rest) on it i believe..absolutely amazing!!!!!

I bought it too a while ago.. I love "Cousin Dupree" (and the dvd is a great one to try out the possibilities of the sound of homecinema :-))

Cue shameless plug. We had the sound mixed in a bit of a hurry for Xmas and were consequently disappointed. We're currently 'doing it again'. Also, the visuals guys were running late, too.

I'll post a track on the forum when it's ready, if anyone's interested.

Last year I bought 'Can't buy a thrill' to bring back some memories and its as good as ever. Glad to say my 18 year old son has taken to it as well....

I like the way Fagan and Becker interview the band members and in the taxi with the backing singers is funny.

I bought this just after it came out - all the old favourites are on there (Peg, Josie, Kid Charlemagne, Pretzel Logic, Green Earrings).

Great band line up, especially Ricky Lawson & Tom Barney (using a Musicman Stingray 5 & his ESP 5 with a quilted Maple Top - it was that bass that partly gave me the idea for my OW custom build) in the rhythm section.

Still my favourite music DVD.
