lanark
I'm in need of a tuner that I can plug straight into the guitar so I can tune up when everyone else in the band is make a whole load of noise around me. Problem is that I don't want to spend much money on it, so I need something that works really well but also doesn't cost much money. Over to you for advice and opinions. Thanks

lanark
Fender PT100. £40.
Even that's a bit pricey (and I'm not really looking for a pedal tuner either). But thanks for the tip.
Dubs
You can get a full set of Wilkinson branded tuners for about £25 last time I looked, but I know a lot of prices have gone up recently...

When I say tuner, I mean to tune a guitar not the machineheads. But thanks for the advice :-)
Delberthot
I hvve a Korg BT-10 which is really good unfortunately, most of the times with tuners when you pay peanuts you get monkeys Edited October 2, 2009 by Delberthot
Musky
I borrowed one of those clip on tuners a few months ago. It didn't track the open E string very well but picked up the 12th fret harmonic easily. Very handy for tuning up before a gig without digging out a lead as well. Can't remember the name of it, though I could find out, but it was cheap enough.

Finbar
Korg CA-30 cost me less than £20 about 6 years ago and its still going strong. Its accurate and tracks pretty fast Edited October 3, 2009 by Finbar
Jean-Luc Pickguard
The only one I use is the Planet waves bass SOS. I can get my bass in tune in a few seconds unplugged with loads of crash-bang-wallop all around. Best tuner I own (actually I keep losing & refinding them so I have two spares which come in handy) http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/products/25...ss_guitar_tuner I can't actually tune the E string on my ashborys with any other tuner but an S.O.S. V4lve
Korg CA-30 does it for me. About 10 quid
Mr. Foxen
I have a Johnson pedal tuner, metal like a boss, but longer, chromatic led job, will post it to ya for £22.50. Seems to like the low B on my 5 string (before I sold it).
RockfordStone
ive always found getting cheap tuners to be counter productive, i bought a cheap fender one and it didnt track my low b trying on my 5 string ive got a korg DT-10, little bit pricey but it takes a battering and still comes back for more
