Why so few youtube videos when selling basses

It seems to me that a youtube video would be very useful thing to create when selling a bass? E.g. this, but maybe without the seeming clipping or whatever.

How come we see so many basses being sold, but almost no videos?

I for one would be very self conscious about my standard of playing, also the sound quality is often poor on these things. Beyond proving that the thing works (which I would hope could be taken for granted from the esteemed users of this forum), I don't see that it's of much benefit.

I did it when I sold my P recently... I used it to illustrate the lack of a dead spot, etc.

I'd like to think it helped a bit.

I could only do a video off my mobile, can you imagine the quality of picture and sound

my mate bob has a bass for sale, he sticks his mini dv camera at it and videos himself playing. he's not too hot a player.
my mate jim has a bass for sale, he sorts out the lighting and camera angles, sticks the camera up and videos himself. He's the kind of bass player that makes flea and jaco look pedestrian. at the same time using his bass Pod he records the sound through an emulated bass amp with a wee bit of compression and reverb. later on final cut pro he sticks the sound and the visuals together.

which would you buy?
