[quote name='richardrickenbacker' post='520841' date='Jun 22 2009, 03:47 PM']Hi Guys (and Girls)

Have got a good condition left handed 1978/9 (ish) Kramer 650B bass with Aluminum neck and bad ass bridge.
Plays good, looks good.
Would keep it myself but I am not left handed and would be looking to off load it to a good home so it could actually be played.
Will consider any trade for right handed bass, guitars, bass amps or electric drum kit.

Will post pictures this week.

The 650B is a beautiful bass - aluminium and exotic woods - and a delight to play. A left handed one cant be common. You should classify it under bass porn ! Cant wait to see the pics.

Lovely bass. The only guy I remember playing one was the bassist in the Boomtown rats circa 1979, and the only other one I've seen for sale within the last couple of years was on t'bay (France), modded with Alembic p/ups and active EQ, BIN of £400 - still kicking myself.....
Bump for a cool lefty :)

Edit: Lovin' the avatar, loweringthetone!

[quote name='deksawyer' post='522385' date='Jun 24 2009, 10:17 AM']It's very nice, but that bridge has completely the wrong string spacing for this bass. It just looks wrong even if it is strung upside down!

It looks like someone modified this with a Fender spaced Badass tailpiece. It's not the original bridge/tailpiece, which was more like a trad. fender bent metal design, but had slots for quick string changing. Sorry but the fact of the matter is that the string spacing is too close to the edge of the fingerboard and the modification is a negative aspect.

At times like this i wish i was sinistre

One of my all time favourite basses ! lovely short scale fantastically playable , im nearly dewey eyed ..

My old one had a plain F style bridge and i had rosewood surrounds made up by the bristol guitar workshop ( cos they all split ) moons ago but still rue the day i sold it or traded it to buy beer or something equally ludicrous .

Thats a steal of a deal too ! £ 320 or ono ???? u sure ? lol

wonders about becoming ambidextrous .....but i have trouble tying my shoelaces sometimes ..

Nearly tempted to just stick it on my wall too !!

Someone give this some lefty love you might be surprised how good this is !

Have a Krameresque bump :)

Hi Rich,
You'll have to bear with me I'm new to this internet game, I dont understand the lingo. I googled lefty Kramer and got you at basschat so I regestered and here we are. Could I see the bass, I'm in Middx near Heathrow, and how would you like payment. Email me through basschat and maybe we could talk. I dont know the protocol on these matters.
Get back to me,
Karl
